Altenator is very powerful. Anyone who is not using it is sleeping after its buff. Its a beast tbh. I love that gun the hip fire on it is amazing and quick killing. 

@hayhor G7 has dropped a lot in my personal weapon tier list. R301 and Flatline are way more versatile to use especially with Anvil back. You have long/mid and even close range in only one weapon, while the G7 is good for mid range only (for me at least). 

@hayhorId rather use an RE-45. Even the 2020 can have a faster fire rate if you spam the trigger fast enough llol

@Cro_PitttOh I agree. I'm not a fan of the G7 either. But because R301s seem to be the rarest gun on the game sometimes I have the attachments and run a g7 until I die or find a 301 on a body.

I prefer a 301 or a flatty and then a shotgun or a volt.

I don't hate the Alternator, but I used to like it a lot more.  The R-99 shreds faster I find once you get your upgraded clip going, and is a better long range gun.  The R-45 is easily better early game if you get a barrel mod.  That doesn't leave a lot of room for the Alternator.

But when there was a gold one, believe it or not I'd use it.  Mostly because it came with all the things on it.  And yes, I would need another non-sniper, likely an assault rifle, to back that up.

The fire rate is a shade too slow on the gun is the problem.  Yes, each bullet does more damage but it's an SMG.  Fire rate is most important.

Drop Prowler arguably has the exact same problem which is why the Prowler needs to get back on the ground.  I do not like the red Prowler and I used to love that SMG.  We have the Volt now too so there are plenty of options in SMG land.
