Are you really unable to discern that someone can dislike something without being "offended" by it? You miss the point entirely. Forget Reptar, it was merely another illustration of a casual "fun" attitude taken in the patch notes which leads to Wattson mains being told, right after their tactical ability was left broken for weeks, that they are going to be getting a huge buff - only to find out that they are getting their emote fixed. So I guess I'm offended by something - the inability of the dev team to "read the room" when deciding how to compose their official communications.

@pandareno1999 Yes, I agree that the joke about Wattson getting buff was in bad taste. I don't condone doing that, but the two of them don't compare. Just because one bad attempt at being funny was too right on the nose doesn't mean we treat everything else the same way, so I guess we will agree to disagree on that note.

If they wanna keep making jokes, cool. Keep that to their twitter etc. However patch notes should just be patch notes, it's not really the right format at all for cracking jokes, so I'm 100% in agreement with pandareno here, they should just stick to the facts.
Respawn devs have had a pretty impressive track record for aggravating their playerbase up until now, its only a matter of time before one of these jokes goes awry lol. 😛

Its not about making jokes in the patch notes, its common and i rarely saw any offense in it except for DBD. Its that they played with their playerbases expectations and just to add insult to injury.

Imagine after the recent statements regarding Caustic and Rampart by DZK the S10 patch notes just read:

Huge buffs:
"You can now sit infinitely on your gas trap during your emote!"
Or "You can still not fly with your Minigun by placing it on Cryptos drone!"

Even Todd Howard is not stupid enough to pull that and this man is a living meme for an huge amount of reasons.

@BigBlackCaustic I completely agree, I said as much as myself in another thread bud.
My point is if they avoid trying to be the class clown they won't receive any backlash further down the line when they take a collosal swing and miss with one of these jokes. 😛
