yeah thanks, I agree with everything you say, but, i only 7 games, 1 quit,, are the penalties higher for higher ranks? I starting in gold 2.

90 mins was a shock haha.

@SgtArmpitIt could be possible that its higher in higher ranks.
Just keep it in mind for next time. Believe me I feel as frustrated as you do when people behave like they do 🙂

I started in the lowest bracket, I havent played since season 1. New map, new to everything ^^
Did from lowest to Gold 1 in the weekend, and 70% is with players who dont listen, talk, want to help 🙂 But gets better and better ^^

@Kartofeeeeel I leave when my timer runs out and banner greyed. So saying one gets penalized for that is completely false.

You also get penalized if you leave Regular mode as well as Ranked games.

We deactivated leaver penalties in Series 1 to be overly cautious on false positives. This time we’re starting Ranked Series 2 with leaver penalties enabled. Players who abandon their teammates will be hit with a matchmaking penalty in both Regular and Ranked matches. Penalties will result in a player being barred from joining a match for escalating amounts of time based on how often they have abandoned in Ranked. An abandon is defined as leaving the game before the match is over for you; this includes leaving during character select, leaving while you are alive, and leaving when you are dead but can still be respawned by teammates. Penalty times start out at five minutes, and repeat abandons will increase that time up to a week.

@RevenanT-G7That's not true. Leaver penalty only applies to ranked mode. IF you leave a ranked game, then you won't be able to play normal either (haven't tried it, though), but you can leave normal games freely (and it should stay this way - casual is casual, there's no need to make it hardcore). I've already left more than a fair share of casual games and I can assure you - it has no penalty (and no, I don't feel bad about it - it's kind of mutual understanding between everyone, that whoever dies in casual will leave and just go for a new game; same logic obviously does not apply to ranked where ppl have points at stake).

As for OP's 90min penalty - it's either a lie (left more than 1 and does not want to admit it) or a bug. It should start at 5 min.

True or false that is what is posted.

It says that leaving ranked matches is penalized (not casual) and that the penalty then applies to any match (leave ranked = can't play any mode (well, I guess training is open), leave casual = no penalty). I don't know how you managed to read there that leaving casual is penalized.

it's not what it's say's though.

It says Regular mode and Ranked.

Last time I checked Ranked wasn't considered Regular mode. I also pulled this off of the APex website if you follow the link you can see for yourself.

Here, I highlighted the relevant parts for ya. Very clearly refers to JUST ranked mode.

The second sentence refers to the EFFECT of the penalty, not the cause. The only way Regular games are affected is through leaving Ranked games. I guess for complete clarity they could have mentioned Ranked in 2nd sentence too (although I never even thought ppl could read that wrong...).

P.S. You may want to refrain from calling others trolls when you're plain out wrong.
