Re: Matchmaking & hidden MMR

The matchmaking system been broken since the beginning of this game, its not systematic and there is alot of complain about this, so there is nothing special mechanism in there. The best pathetic mechanism matchmaking on this game is , when you win a match, next game probally you will team up as duos againts trios.

    @TissuePaper77

That has not been my experience.

I was solo Q over the weekend, and had a great run with random team mates. I think I we won 5 out of 12-15games played. Each time there was variations in team mate levels (and skill). In one game there was a level 8 (I think) who was a great player and was slaying for fun.

This brings up another issue about how to measure skill. I have always said that time played would help in terms of getting a level playing field (kinda). But this weekend just gone has taught me that any level player can be good or bad. I had low level monsters and high level no thumbs.

With the amount of teams, RnG, luck/fate, anything can happen in this game and that's why I like it.

I play the game for what it is and thoroughly enjoy it. I like the random now if I'm honest. Don't get a great drop? Oh well, next time may be better.

The less seriously I take this game, the more and more I have fun, especially now the servers feel far more solid which was my major bug bear with the game.

  • @Silz616  I not interested to your story and i dont understand what you were trying to say, all i know there is positive review from you that the matchmaking its not broken. Maybe you can create a own topic or publish a book and address to million players that the matchmaking its fine.

There is no matchmaking in Apex, it's random.

@Wingmannedbro Most of you are clueless to understand my statement, indeed there are no matchmaking in this game, but in terms of penalty and winning, there is, and its consider broken. If you happy with random matchmaking, good for you and i want to see how long you can endure when you match up with clans while you are in random squad.

Thanks for taking the time to reply guys.
I would like, if possible, a statement from EA's side of view.

    /Cheers

@Psycho4RealSolo players and duos are matched up with other solo players and duos. Full squads are matched up with other full squads.

  • @warslag can't help it...a game with great potential is utter garbage now...I've spent money on something with potential that never has nor ever will meet said potential...

    Wouldn't you be upset?

@Psycho4RealA friend told me that full squads were matched against each other. I think he's right but it's possible that it's not correct.

I guess so. Sometimes I'm not happy about some things. I say my bit but try to be constructive. You live and learn as they say.

  • @Psycho4Real if your asking about correctness with regards to match making...there is no matchmaking...random

If your asking in regards to me ranting...no...I rant on nearly every post...but my ranting is never incorrect...it is 9/10 negative but they are facts. I have nothing positive to post about with regards to Apex legends except the gun play and movement ideology is fantastic in theory...it's clear to see what they were going for but the game is flawed to let those positive aspects shine

  • I'm 95% random. Have a few select friends on different servers. Maxed out, so nothing to be acquired other than tokens😞. I only have just over 1000 kills with my Lifeline, and have only been randomly matched with someone with over 300 kills or same experience level about 5 times. It really doesn't matter to me. Just need to communicate more with the lower level player or give them some suggestions during game play. I read a previous post about a lower level player wanting to play more with ppl at his level. It's no fun getting destroyed by other squads when you're either a squad of "greens" or a "grinder" matched with greens. Need to remember that a lot of players haven't been gaming as long as others.  Hoping season 2 will offer ranked matches for everyone.

    ❤️

Hold your horses Nanook, all I did was state 1 fact to you. That there is no matchmaking of any kind in Apex.

Without any opinions attached to that. You seem rather eager to put words in my mouth here.

Listen, matchmaking systems do not work, because in any team game, random average players will get carried into higher rankings by very good players.

I've played MOBA's at the highest ranking for a year and a half, and the lesson learned from that is that the skill of the average player in the HIGHEST DIVISION is exactly the same as the skill from the average player in the mid tier division.

The upside of having a completely random squads is that you will end up teaming up with 2 friends who invite you to play with them because you were a good team mate who shares loot etc.

Many times I end up playing with good players because I pinged a level 3 body shield for my bangalore team mate (playing Wraith myself)

If you have not made any friends who want to play with you after an extended period of time entering games solo, it might be time for you to evaluate yourself as a player.

I think you probably are the "bad team mate" you complain about more often than you think.
