Re: revenant should be buffed

you mean the way Wattson cancels out Bangalore and Gibby's ult?  or Bloodhound (or a digital sight) cancels out Mirage's ult?

@DrenMadreIt does not outright cancel them. It's called a counter.

counter: a: to act in opposition to : oppose
                   b : offset, nullify

cancel : to destroy the force, effectiveness, or validity of : annul

same same.....if you REALLY want to delve into it.......
     - if a Mirage activates his ult and Bloodhound then activates his......Bloodhound would be COUNTERING the Mirage usage by rendering it ineffective
     - if a Bloodhound already had his ult activated, and THEN Mirage activated his......Bloodhound's ult would CANCEL the Mirage usage by rendering it ineffective.....

We're talking the same thing just 2 different ways  😉

I think he is in a fair place, maybe even needs a nerf.
He has a pretty strong kit if you compare him to some other legends #BuffMirage.

Don't really see a weakness is his kit when I compare him to all the other legends.
He has a really good ultimate and active and combine that with his advanced movement.

If he needs a buff 100% this:

However IF i was to change him, i would request

    A) his silence abilitiy cancels out certain abilities that have a time based use such mirage/bloodhounds ult and octanes stim during use.

    B) his ultimate cannot be used by enemies, but is easier to destroy.

  • @Zeelmaekers Please. His tactical is easily avoided if it misses you. If it hits, then it's a good revenant. His ultimate just moves your position, and makes you weaker in the process. As well as being loud, highly visible, usable by enemies, easily to camp, and destroyable. His passive is his only redeeming quality.

    #BuffMirage and #BuffRevenant and #BuffCrypto and #BuffOctane and #BuffBloodhound
  • He isn't the meta game changer that was advertised.

Passive - Just like every other legends running at full speed with messed up audio and even crouched still appears larger than Wraith.

Tactical - Use a grenade, it's a lot more effective.

Ultimate - Compared to Wraith or Path who can get out of jail free, pop a bat then get into the fight he must use a med kit which takes longer and makes him more vulnerable in the process.

Love the legend, looks, quips, pretty much everything compared to the others that have been released since S1 but he's a tad underwhelming.

Edit: Even Mirage can bail 9 times out of 10 when it hits the fan.

  • @CrazyPlays54  Again, theres this misconception that his ult is used solely to play aggressive.

His ult is situationally useful, which leaves it up to the revenant player to either be creative in it's use or create the conditions required for it to be useful.

I've used my rev ult to make sketchy revive attempts, giving me a safety net if it back fires, I've placed it behind cover during long range sniping battles to again, create that safety net if you get popped. Or even to just rotate out of a rough combat scenario when you're pinned and pressured with no real positive outcome.

You can use it on the aggressive  but its much better for a third party scenarios than squad vs squad, as a breach tactic.

I'm not saying you do, but a lot of people are using this legend completely wrong and that's where the bulk of the problem lies.

After playing 2-3 rounds with him, I realized, that most of my teammates are not even aware of the fact, that they can use his ultimate too.

@MandatoryIDtag It doesn't change the fact it is a terrible ultimate If you wanted a safety net while reviving, why not pick Gibby? Or Lifeline. If you wanted protection during Long range battles, why not pick Gibby, or Lifeline, or Wattson? If you are trying to leave combat, why not just choose Pathfinder, or Wraith? If you are using it in a third party scenario, you get 100 Hp vs the guys who can actually use shields. They may have low health, sure, but if you wanted to third party, why not just use your shields as backup, then use a legend with escape abilities, rather than get 100 HP, take 8 seconds to medkit up, the run all the way back to the fight, which has either been won, or lost, because you have been gone for around at least 10 seconds. I would prefer it to take forever to charge, and actually be useful, rather than it taking a small amount of time and it being one of the F tier ultimates, right along with Mirage and Octane. #BuffRevenant and #BuffMirage

Revenant's passive is pretty much entirely what makes him strong, even without his other abilities I think having fast crouching and high climbing makes revenant super useful.

His tactical is a weird one as locking abilities isn't as useful here as it is in say Overwatch, abilities are useful but only ever really game changing in specific situations. The ability's use is mostly in disorientation and it's a good way to briefly stop someone from chasing you as the AOE effect lasts for a few seconds.

The ultimate is a total double edged sword, great for endgame when you want to make a push but don't want to risk getting caught out, bad to use willy nilly, and especially bad to use in hectic situations like when the ring is closing in. - I'm glad this ability isn't OP but feel that there could be a little bit more to it, perhaps a 20% speed boost when becoming a shadow, at the cost of seeing entirely in black and white, this would make it more obvious when you are in shadow mode as well.

Yep, I am not big fan of that system at all and wish they would move away from that rock paper scissors mentally, and instead add stuff that adds more to the gameplay and encourages clever decision making.

I also realize it's easier said than done, but still, like I said before, making things just cancel each other out comes off pretty blend.
