Almost on the same page as you, but after playing a few more rounds...

Now there's like an extra excuse for quitting team mode and not waiting for a revive or respawn, for playing your own agenda and caring less about teammates if they're not the perfect match. Time invested in teamwork is reduced, the number of mediocre, careless team players may rise over time.

I do like it and would vote for keeping it, although it feels boring after a few matches, but I fear that, when players will adjust to this new mode, the difference in balancing will start showing off and Pathfinders may become the apex predators as suspected.

Solo mode needs something unique to make it stand out against other BR titles.

    I don't think that perception is accurate tho. People mostly quit since it's the fastest way to get back to playing after getting boxed.

    And since most of the good players are playing solo, it may seem like the "effort" in squad games went down, while in reality the people playing squads are mostly of the sort that are hoping to get a carry.
