Re: Whats up with smoke?

@DaAceXD  So it could be one of three things.

A) your silhouette in the smoke is giving you  away.

B) they are catching you as the smoke starts to dissipate with aim assist.

C) they sprayed shots, connected one and traced you from that.

Maybe But why don't i see them? I have recordings and check it over and over.

    I forgot about aim assist.

Yeh that would be BS tho...

No its not a spray and pray for sure!

No teammates that could make him see me.

And no DT confirmed in in the spectate.

And i doubt hes a cheater cuz his stats seem legit.

( asuming apex devs do not allow cheater to get 100 wins etc. )

    I was thinking about sound.

But i have a realy good headset but i can't pinpoint my shots with sound alone :P

  • @DaAceXD  Ok so i'm going with what i said initially about your silhouette giving you away as you jumped from the side.

That smoke was starting to dissipate in the doorway as you pushed forward, from their perspective you would look like a dark shadow.

Had the second smoke popped a second or so earlier you would have been obscured completely.

I've killed people in exactly the same way many a time and i'm certainly no cheater lol.

I mean it could be hacks theoretically...but i honestly doubt it from watching the video.

I also think he's no cheater thats why i chose this clip.

And i can understand that in the moment i can't see him and my moving silhouette is easy to spot.

But in the recording i know where he is shooting from.

I should be able to see his silhouette as well at least a little?

Are you saying that moving in smoke enhances your silhouette?

As in make it darker or better visable?

( Not talking about moving objects are easier to spot. )

If yes: that knowledge already helps a lot with getting the first shot in i guess...

But it still sounds like a mistake in the game tbh.

He's also not behind a wall shooting me because in the end 0:03 you can see him sitting there right in the open.

So his silhouette should be full visable.

But i have been on both sides of this clip sooo many times. And im always pulling the short stick somehow.

I just don't see them and i get lazerd from right in front of me.

Does not matter if i sit still move inside or outside the smoke.

I lose the who sees who first battle from every angle and every position.

I was just hoping brightness or another setting may be of use in these scenario's.

But if i check google i only get how to hack video's and obviously i don't want to do that.

  • @DaAceXD Did you remember where your Bang throw the grenade smoke ? Most likely inside the bunker.  The intensity of the smoke start at the center and fade at the edge.

By the time you're approaching, the smoke start to clear up on the outer part of the edge and enemy start seeing you there, while you can't see them (more density inside).

@DaAceXD You might not have been able to see his silhouette because they were in the building and a darker area. Less light and darker areas = more effective smoke. Their smoke was also thicker than the smoke you were in. I play bang a lot and have had that play into my favor.
