I'm slightly confused as to how you can not be interested in that if it limits the RNG struggles lol. O.o

The idea of the various levels of Armor was a nice concept, but now a very boring one, especially when you spend a great deal of time running all over the map trying to find better Armor.

While the game might be a combination of luck and skill, I have really seen it turn into being more luck based, especially when you're running around in White with very little loot and you run up against someone fully kitted, because then you have to be even more skilled, or lucky to win, and it's really frustrating, when you pile on the level of cheaters too...

As pointed out with Warzone, and if you all remember the Holo Day Bash, we were all in the same armor for that event.

You have my vote on getting rid of all the armor and just making it the same.

A year later, I have found myself many times in a game, still running around 3 minutes later in White, trying to find better armor.

P.S. If we really want this to me more about skill, then yes, we are all in the same level of armor and everyone has at least a pistol on drop. Now to fight hot, with the same level of armor and a pistol, will be more skill based, of course people at times get lucky no matter what situation they are in....

@MandatoryIDtagExactly. By playing it you give the impression you like it and maybe they implement it. Seth is clearly someone with a grudge they'll never make happy or a person who blames the game for everything.

Even before they try this I think starting with a basic gun is a good thing. I like the idea of equal shields but do not want it permanently. If I want a good shield I figure out how to kill someone with one.

If you are in White with a Mozambique on a hot drop and I found all LVL2 Armor or even LVL3 with an R301, there's not going to be any figuring out how to get my Armor, I will kill you! LOL

Heck I'll kill you in White with the R301 too...

The point I'm trying to make, is we all know at times, it's just unbalanced...

I'm not arguing that skill is not needed in this game, because yes you're going to need a lot more skill or luck on defeating someone with a Mozambique against an R301...

But skills set aside, the game is still very much loot and luck based too; Apex Loot & Apex Luck.

If we want to balance out the game better, we do need to just have the same level of armor!

Oh and something I didn't see anyone mention, now all those cheaters out there, are going to be easier to kill, think about that for a second, someone running around with an Aimbot in the same level of armor, we will have a better chance at defeating them...

Dropping is where ever you want to go, hot or on the other side of the map, it's whatever you feel like doing.

No one is always going to win, the odds are stacked against us, that you will die more than win, that's just fact, but with hot dropping, if so inclined, with people scrambling around for loot, if you happen to be the one with the good loot, you're going to find it easier killing many that are still in white with limited armor.

Playing the Pro hand as you've mentioned, it's about going easier and not so Sweaty is all, and I do it all the time, drop away from people.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean about random? Because nothing is ever the same, no matter where you drop, it's all pretty random anywhere on the map at times...

P.S. I've played with Extreme Level Predator players, and watched them die all the time easy too, simply because they were out looted, there was nothing skilled about that moment of game play.Think about that, I've seen Predator Level players all the time struggle when out gunned and out looted, it's just the way it is. LIke I said the game at times is Apex Loot or Apex Luck.

Just get rid of all non Purple and and gold loot. Start everyone with the ideal chosen load out, and then people will find it to be totally fair.../sarcasm

@Cracjaw450  I mean strictly speaking the point of a battle royale is to be the last team standing.

Having a body shield  and a pistol on drop wouldn't detract from this, you're still going to need better equipment. It's just somewhat of a buffer against "Death by RNG"......nobody enjoys being killed by another player simply because they decided to land on top of you and just happened to get a weapon first.

@MandatoryIDtag Players do hate RNG but thats to be expected in a Battle Royal as other posters have explained. There's also nothing stopping players from dropping on top of you even if you have a gun. They'll just land behind you and shoot you before you know they're there. Not RNG but same result and equally cheap death.

Your legitimately complaining about the very nature and concept of a battle royale game... land, LOOT, scavange, be the last to survive. Its always been about luck, i dont consider warzone to be a "true" BR game because of loadout boxes etc, not knocking it, but as someone who came from PUBG, its always been about what you can find, and to be fair pubg always had different level bulletproof vests, kinda like armour..

Dont like the game... try LTMs that MATCH your exact complaint... dont try to change the core game...

@Jem450R  I get where you're coming from completely, PUBG was my first BR.

The problem with Apex compared to PUBG is the amount of weapons you would find lying around. As the zones were generally much bigger, even in sanhok if you landed with another squad the odds of you picking up a decent weapon were generally quite high still.

Apex has a significantly higher pace of play and smaller maps, which is why i personally think this LTM would be good as a staple addition to the game on a permanent basis. It won't make the game any easier as we would all be in the same scenario, but at least you've got a bit more of a fighting chance when you hit the ground.

Just no. If you don`t like Apex Legends core mechanics, just move on.

Sorry but the suggestion to drop with just 1 kind of armor and its stay the same till end its just very bad and will make a lot of players including me to just quit the game. The feeling to open a bin or enter a house and find Purple and Gold armor and the excitement when you found it all will be gone. And also zero feeling to climbing the ladder with the tiers armor.

Landing with a armor and a gun is not okay for this game. Let Apex Legends be different.
But let me explain how stupid is to land with armor + pistol, even p2020. So your landing and you won`t know what to do, to loot or to attack the others. I decide to loot, but the guy dropped next to me in the nothing will shoot, because he come with a pistol from the dropship.

I`m definitely not okay with it.

Armor and weapons are quite common, so 90% of the time you will find in the first bin on a hot spot.

@LordloshBang  Armour staying the same all match will just be the gimmicky part of the LTM. 

That would never be a good idea, the TTK with most weapons on Apex is way too high to validate that kind of move, and would lead to a pretty crappy experience all around.

We're talking about the idea of simply dropping with for the sake of arguement let's say a level 1 bodyshield.

Higher level bodyshields would still be in loot pool and everything would behave as normal.

As for the "armour and weapons are quite common" statement,i've literally lost count of the amount of times i've landed in area where theres been nothing but attachments and heals, maybe a p2020 if i'm lucky.

You get to understand that this happen to everyone, but the % for this is very low, so thats why its not a problem.

Dropping with white armor and no weapon could be a debatable for a better experience, but then people will start cry to drop with a weapons as well, and in the end we will end up like CS:GO, where you just buy what you want ....

While i have no problem dropping with 1 bar armor or with a white one with 2 bars and then climbing the ladder with the rest of the armors, aka EVO, Blue, Purple, Gold etc, as of now we are dropping with 100 hp, we are not dropping with a 1 hp, which will result 1 hit - death.

I know about the LTM event and they probably wanna see how that will pay off and what is the general feeling.

Maybe the only reasonable thing could be dropping with 1 bar of armor or with a white armor with 2 bars. But as i said this is a core mechanics and if stay the same i will still be happy.

But i`m all against dropping with a weapon, even if its p2020.

@LordloshBang  I do get where you're coming from with these concerns. However i don't think we would have to worry about load out drops in apex, it's a bad direction for any staple BR mode, not so bad for an LTM.

Warzone tried it with the loadout drop crates and lets be honest here....it's a crap format. It removes any balance especially since you can't pick up attachments on that game. They only did it because they have a majority player base of arcade FPS players,so they had to make the BR format digestible  for that kind of player base.

We're probably never going to see eye to eye on this topic and can argue both sides of it days lmao, so let's just agree to disagree on this one? 😛

Cant comment on Warzone to be fair, played that game for less than a day. So many spots and so many camping guys, its not my type of game for sure. Also it feels so slow and the whole skill set is about the aim, nothing in compare to Apex Legends where you need so much more skill to be actually good.

Apex Legends movement, strafing, jumping, sliding and so on, are unmatched and this will always keep me in this game and this is what it makes her so unique.

The game have that perfect spot to give you in terms of skill of movement, aim, looting, position and so on. The balance between movement skill and aiming skill is perfect. Neither are overpowered.

In same other titles, the movement is just sh*** and its kinda all the aim at the top levels, in Apex this is not the case and thats why i love it so much.

There is no other game where you actually need to work so much on your strafe and overall movement ability to actually dodge a lot of bullets.

The different in this department between a average player to PRO player is just insane and this is what i like so much about this game.

There is a people that just cant get good at the movement and have bad aim and they prefer games like Warzone, where you don`t have that type of movements and its a lot easier to kill someone. In Apex you actually need a complete set of skills to be at high level.

There was even a threads here from people who was obviously a bad aimers and they wanted Respawn to nerf the strafing .... What a joke.

Anyone who has played the game for any length of time, should feel comfortable to understand what each weapon does, with and without mods and the ammo, and how they kill, and then how that weapon someone found, how it will stack up against someone who has a more powerful weapon you have to kill.

Let me give an example, you find only an Alternator, with a LVL1 barrel mod, magazine and that is all with a 1x scope, and someone finds a Prowler with a LVL1 mag, 1x scope, and a Select Fire Receiver, and you both are in the same level of armor.

You are either going to have be lucky or more skilled to take down an equally skilled player against that Prowler, in a close quarter combat situation.

So yes, people die all the time because they don't have good loot, also not even ammo to fight, I see it all the time, every day, since Season 1.

The truth, I see people die all the time, that don't know what it takes to fight, because they aren't properly equipped...
