Re: Would running the game on PS4 pro make any difference?

Every game i have played on my pro compared to my slim runs better. Like way better, lag is reduced, frames are more consistent, and theirs less delay in between actions. Like when you press square to open door it responds quicker. 

Also upgraded to a pc two weeks ago and ill never go back to console gaming.  I dont even know where to start, the difference is so vast. 

Basically the pro will run better but why not get a ps5 or pc while your at. Most places prices for a pro are about the same as a ps5 🤷🏻‍♂️

    @F5arTheB5ardThanks for the response. Well I have a PS4 pro that I can get my hands on for free if I ever wanted to try so yea. Lol
    Wouldn’t be buying one. Just wanted to know if it would even be worth the attempt at this point.

    At the moment playing on 110
    Fov it’s basically like every single
    Character has a tactical ability allowing them to skip
    Massive amount of frames when moving. Lol.

    I can’t even begin with to comprehend how massive the upgrade would be to play on pc.  Been an exclusive console gamer forever

    I know what u mean about console gaming, I just turned 29 and finally got one for myself. If u can get a pro for free then jump on it. You'll have a much better experience

    @F5arTheB5ard Where do you live that the pro is ‘almost same price as a ps5’ xD?

    Pros here cost at max 300 and that’s usually as a bundle with games and or extra controllers whereas the normal one is 200-250.

    But yea other than that @ OP, frames will be more consistent. Draw range and speed (basically how far you can see without textures needing to load-in or suddenly pop into view will be increased. Might be better for color but I don’t think so...

    If you had to pay I’d say don’t do it but for free, always. You will see substantial gains going from slim to ps5. Going from pro to ps5 will also see benefits but much less clear.

    I already posted in a number of threads what the benefits will be but for now it’s mostly not graphical and also not systematical. Draw speed, consistent (99.99% fixed) 59 framerate and auto hdr.

    @fg1985bgThe game does tell you maximizing FOV will affect graphical performance.

    I went from an old original ps4 to a ps5 and the difference is massive for me.

    The 4th generation of Playstation is over 7 years old. PS4 Pro is an upgrade, but also over 4 years old. Apex is already pretty demanding and it will probably continue to get hungrier with each new update, so if I'd be a console guy I would buy a PS5 to feel a difference.

    But, if the PS4 Pro is absolutely free, why even ask?
