So, something I've been doing a lot this week is solo queuing duos in party with my best friend. We don't queue together a lot because his MMR is in the Big Boys lobbies, and I can easily tank my stats pretty badly doing so. I know stats don't really matter, but I'm in a place right now with this game where I've improved quite a lot, but not enough to be very successful in those lobbies. I have set a goal for myself in the last couple of seasons, and finally have achieved it. We'll see if I can maintain it until the season's end. I just have to play enough to collect seven more BP levels. I play regularly with a couple buddies who are at around my skill level, and then I do these solo q duos games.
What we've been doing is using PS5's screen share option. I'll play for a while with his helpful input, and then we swap. Even though he's a lot better than I am, I'm experienced enough to spot out a couple of comments there and there that he finds useful. I can also ask questions about decisions he makes in real time, which is far more helpful than simply watching someone play. If you have a friend with a large skill gap, I suggest giving this a try. Afterward. we may queue together for a while with me playing on an alt account, so we don't have to worry about my hard-earned stat increases dwindling away when games don't go so well.
