Don’t hit us with that “rank distribution” crap — no one’s buying it. It’s not distribution, it’s straight-up busted matchmaking. Either someone’s clueless, or y’all are just trying to cover it up.
You just had to have logical thinking and some experience in Apex to understand even without clear stats that this change of lobby info was to cover up low extremes of the ranked players be it silvers in Plat or Golds in Pred lobbies.
Also for forever problematic D4+ lobbies it is "easier" for people to accept say 4 Preds per 20 teams vs actually seeing that there are 12 Pred players out of 60. Same mind-trick as X.99 prices.
At least it clearly shows that Respawn is aware of their "SBMM" system results and clearly want to hide it as much as possible "until fixed" :)
Meanwhile for people who use Apex Tracker - picture of matchmaking is still loud and clear :) Will not be surprised if they will cut this API soon to disable any "leakage" of their "SBMM" data :P

To clarify, this now effectively shows the highest rank player on each team, as that's what would be used for matchmaking regardless. The way this was displayed was changed in the most recent update, though not the matchmaking itself. That'd be why the bar is full at 20 rather than 60, though the screen does still list it as Players rather than Squads, for sure.
Ranked Tier Display: now shows the tier distribution per squad instead of per individual player. Ranked matchmaking for premade squads is done based on the highest RP value in the squad. This change will group all squad members, premade or otherwise, to show the entire squad based on the highest Rank Tier in that squad.
