Probably because

Jedi fallen order is about to release and all hands are on deck probably looking for a smooth release.The holidays are coming up and  people normally taking vacation during this time.

So they're being kind enough to have people have time to finish the battle pass. 

Or 

they are working on a new Ip / TitanFall 3 possibly ?

Possibly true.

But also, @Justkilling , not everybody have that much time on their hands to play the game and finish the battlepass in 40 days. They have a job, a family to take care of, study, exams, etc. And yet they still want to finish it.

It's a good move, giving everybody a chance and enough time to get everything, especially for those who invest their money on this game.
