Server Change Problems for West Coast

Question

After getting beamed around a corner for the 100th time since the server update, I have to say something. All my friends and I who live in Southern California used to get an average of 20 ping in our games. Ever since the server update, we are lucky if we get a server with ~50 ping. Sure, overall it's still not high ping compared to some, but it feels pretty rough coming from low ping. Constantly getting shot around corners that on my screen I was already completely around. When we play ranked, it's even worse. It's pretty much become common for us to play on 70+ Ping. Looking at the server list, I notice there is only a choice for US-West 2. Is there a plan to add US-West 1, which I believe is based in California? In these higher-ranked lobbies, even losing 5 health, even though I'm around the corner, is costing me games.&nbsp;

It makes it even stranger because the previous US West Coast servers were also in Oregon but I'd be getting about 20 ping as mentioned. So now the new server is about the same distance away, but I get considerably higher ping. I'm hoping this is something that soothes out over time. Feels terrible to play the game sometimes with the small delay.&nbsp;

Yurlif​ I personally don't like the server changes as it has been more laggy since its been switched.

Indeed, it is strange. I was getting an average of 45ms, and now its 120ms+.

This server used to be in Oregon, where for years I was always 12ms. Since the merge, i've gone from 12ms for over 5 years to over 100ms now, matches where the grey lobby bar in the skill graph is all the way from the left side right to the right side and my wait time has quadrupled.

In all my years of gaming (many years), I have never had a 12-20ms ping. That is incredibly fast. I suspect the good times are over for you all. I'm in the midwest and the best I've ever seen is 30-50, which is pretty standard for most network services within the states.&nbsp;
