Shadowfall

Shadowfall. 3 days, each day with at least playing 4 hours. Not even one win as a legend. Its just not doable. If im not being chased by shadows im being sniped by a C*** 50 miles off. That or they ignore the shadows chasing me and just shoot me. I have no time to heal even if i kill 7+ shadows because within 5 seconds from healing they are on me again and ive only had time to heal one bar of my sheilds or half my hp..I run out of ammo, i run out of healing items. And even if its the 10 last survivors no one helps out to shoot the shadows chasing you which i was doing for others (never again). The ship takes FOREVER to land so shadows are already camping the * out of the area it is landing in and you have no chance to hold them off from the site if you arrive a little early because its 30+ shadows by the time the ship lands. And as i said other players dont give a rats * about you.

I played as pathfinder, wrait, mirage.

I used wraiths invis ability but by the time i even come close to the ship im spotted by every shadow in sight. Forcing me to use it too early, and ending up more dead than my social life being 3 meters away from the ship.

Mirage, same story but this time it seems i get spotted with his ability cuz shadows always find me (or at least hit me when im invis going for the ship), is he spotted like Bangalore in her smoke or something?

Pathfinder, almost the same story but here i have to be super quick with his ult and be close enough to not have buildings in the way of the ship, or the shadows catch up to me faster than Sonic the damn hedgehog can * off. Why cant the ships land in a bit more open areas? Doesnt even have to be completely open because then it would be impossible for shadow players. But at least dont have it land in the biggest CQC area possible. Aimed the ability for not more than 2 seconds and badabing badaboom i have been invited to the closest thing to sexual activivity i will ever experience by 10 shadowy bois and gals.

Pathfinder seems to be the most doable legend to actually win with, as long as you are out of sight from the shadows. But since they see you in a constant bright red chilli colour moving about...you have to be blind not to spot someone in the distance running as if he is in the olympics with red all over him towards you.

I feel like you should be able to squad up with 1 other friend, I can understand that having 3 in a squad might be too good, but come on. At least let us have 1 friend that can watch our backs...because the 10 last survivors sure aint gonna help you.. That or make shadows do less dmg but have more hp. Or let their respawn be longer because jesus christ...if you dont have a phoenix kit or a big sheild charge or even a bigger medkit.....its over. They swarm you worse than bees. Like yes its whats supposed to happen but...survivors dont stand a chance if more than 2 get to you. And god help you if you didnt find good enough weapons.

I cant be the only one feeling this can i? This has been the worst experience trying to win a game since i stopped playing LOL back in like 2013. The rage this brings me is just.....

As soon as you start kill shadows you are lowing chance to win.
Same shadow will constantly try to kill you and other shadows will see kills, so they will join...

You must play smart... your goal is to win game, not kill as much shadows as possible. Try to keep away from other legends. Constantly check sky and move with ring.

I won many times as Wraith, Octane, Mirage and Bangalore. With Pathfinder is very easy, but i am not playing with this legend.

@Loathingnick1997 Hahaha you suck XD. Not one win? Either you get in matches with only 16+ shadows all telepathically communicating and taking down guys or you just have the worst luck :P

Your problem IS that you’re shooting. Seeing as you haven’t won once, you might wanna rethink that strategy.

There can’t be 30+ shadows seeing that the game mode hosts 35 players at most and only last 10 can’t become shadows, but I get what you’re saying :P

If you can’t do it with wraith you should just give up. Either you’re too exposed or you are just unlucky cause it’s easiest with her... they don’t spot mirage when invisible but if you use it too late they might just spam the melee button and still hit you.

I do wanted a duo version. That would’ve been more enjoyable, but this was doable.

Thats the thing. I dont shoot. My problem has so far been that shadows spot me while im looting. Either that or some guy who thinks he can kill me with a sub machine gun from 100 meters away starts shooting me on sight...giving away my location.
What am i supposed to do? Stay outside the zone until the ship starts coming in? You cant hide in bushes because you are red as a light shining in the middle of the night. You cant really hide in buildings either because if you kill one your location is broadcasted to every soul on the map. The moment one shadow finds you and you kill it your location is given away and shadows can just drop on you like a hurricane.
I havent had a single problem winning as a shadow. But legends.....

I must have been unlucky as hell then. Cuz i did just that. Checked my surroundings. Didnt go where other people landed.
My biggest issue is being noticed while looting. Even when i went as far from people as possible there is always that 1 * that starts blasting at me. I even ran away from a looting spot so he could have it...because i knew shadows most likely heard the shots.
I had to kill him annnnddd boom. 4+ shadows are on me even if im 700 meters away from the ring.
God help me

Early game:
If you can easily kill other legends, then land in the middle of the circle and you'll be near the dropship always. Still, try to get out and hide after kills so that you don't become the primary attention of multiple shadows too early - you will eventually die to either shadow or other player, if you keep shooting them all game long. My favorite pasttime as shadow is to land into a legend duel and just grief one of them (or both, if the second one doesn't understand what happened or I get him on reload XD).
If you do have trouble killing legends, then just land outside of the circle and you'll roughly be in top10 by the time you enter circle and shouldn't have trouble running to the ship and you should also not meet any shadows until you are close to the ship.
Shadows do 150 damage, so make sure you have at least blue armor, otherwise winning will be much harder.
Mid-lategame:
1) Don't get startled by shadows and don't try to just run through. Kill them all. It's fun and it pays off. Make sure to always prioritize shadows that are going for you, don't try to be the good samaritan.
2) Don't rush to the ship. Watch where shadows are landing (watch the sky, watch behind you regularly (like the rearview mirrors while driving)) and even wait for them to land before moving on (they're easiest to kill while landing).
3) Shadows have 40 health (I think?). Use weapons that don't leave them at 1-2 health (e.g., 2 shots of flatline = 38 damage - not the best). Although I do like spitfire (3 shots), just because you just don't need to reload it. If you have cool nerves and decent aim, then double tap G7 or hemlok are probably the best weapons (with purple mag) - 1 burst, 1 kill. Avoid other snipers like plague - they're really terrible vs shadows, I also find shotguns quite bad too (PK too slow, Eva needs a reload too often). Also, it hammerpoint p2020 does not 1 shot either (I don't even think the hopup works vs shadows) - bad.
4) Lately shadows are leaving like crazy. Playing vs 8-12 shadows is really not hard at all. It was hard when there were 20-25 of them - then you just die on reload, every time.
I like octane most for this mode (or any mode). The extra speed gives me space to maneuver when multiple shadows try to take me. Trying to cheese a win with path or wraith didn't really work for me ( well I tried only a couple of times) - easier to just kill all shadows on the way.

@Biochemikas <— don’t listen to this crazy guy, he gives good tips, BUT he didn’t put it in guide format, so my tips are more valuable XD

And yea I once had the hammerpoint and was like ‘yea come at me you stupid puck!’, so he did... I was down XD... I was like WTF HOW DID I DO (x amount of dmg) WHILE HE’S 4 METRES AWAY! So no fun :P

Well even 37 damage (p2020 hammer) would not be enough to 1-shot, but the one time I used it I saw a yellow 22 number... So definitely something wrong with it XD.

@Biochemikas Hammerpoint has no effect on shadows, found out the hard way 🙂
