Should I (or players like me) quit online multiplayer games?

@Axs5626Sxa5001 Thanks. That confirms what I thought about the team sbmm. That is going to the player with the best elo. So someone who is new should never even bother playing with a friend who is good. That is ridiculous to think about. Surely there is a way to balance the lobby a little.

@hayhor But the effect is not exclusive to “experience”. Even if you are an experienced player but not as skilled as the person you are joining, the lobby will be curated based on the higher ELO.

It absolutely 100% is egregious.
