@swift07 Still smurfing whether they're streamers or not.

well, I say it's not smurfing because it would mean that they are continuously doing that. Most CC's and pros will move up the tiers quickly. But the thing is, Respawn needs to set a rule and have controls in place so that people are not allowed to set up multiple accounts, which will solve the smurfing issue for the most part.
- NickBeam273 years agoSeasoned Ace@swift07 Ppl need to understand, even moving up the tier quickly, still means, others were at their mercy and obliterated along the way. Saying its ok to be completely owned and destroyed by a pred/master/pro is ok if you only have to endure it once or twice while they are on their way up the tier... how does that make it ok? For these poor ppl being fed up as fodder - how does this make the impact on them any less than say if they are farming on the regular?
Is it not still impacting new players just starting out and trying to learn the game - and is this not just contributing to the very same issue talked about here on this forum consistently?
Picture you are new to Apex and your first few experiences are being farmed by these individuals "making the grind" which Respawn has basically said its fine to do. And then another and another....at what point is smurf accounts to grind, going to become an issue. Im pretty sure for the noobs, it probably feels like a concern, issue and completely depleting right off the bat.- 3 years ago@NickBeam27 it doesn't make it ok. There should be a rule and control in place, where they can't make multiple accounts. The thing that bugs me about streamers and pros doing it is...they have a lot of influence and they're basically condoning people to make new accounts. Then Respawn, when asked about it, said that it's ok. If they're going to set a rule, then it should be followed by everyone, with no exceptions. What is Respawn afraid of? Fortnite banned one of the top players at the time for cheating, even tho it was for content, and the game is still doing well.
- NickBeam273 years agoSeasoned Ace@swift07 I agree, also - shouldn't a pro streamer be held to a higher standard than the regular player base because he holds influence and leads followers.
I am a peace officer by trade, and if I break rules, my punishment is likely to be more severe due to that very fact.
I don't see how the two are much different. Pro streamers endorse the game, influence the player base, have direct influence on the direction of the game and so on and so on. So how is a Pro streamer able to break rules without repercussions, while the average Joe player on his first offence, is held to the letter.
Just seems, well......
- 3 years ago@NickBeam27 yeah, and it definitely does suck for newer players to have to deal with it, in the process. Also, getting beat up by other players who are smurfing because they believed it was ok to make multiple accounts, thanks to their favorite CC's.
