May be true, but it's still the result of broken matchmaking. I don't encourage it but I can see people doing it out of frustration. I don't have a problem with people doing it for as long as matchmaking remains broken.

WHEN I GET A SMURF ON MY TEAM IN CASUAL AFTER THE FIRST FIGHT THEY LEAVE EVERY TIME
- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@Sand_spitter Match making is not broken. It works perfectly fine for me, my lobbies are competitive and I bounce all over the lobbies. Some times I'm in the top tier lobbies other times I'm in the mid tier lobbies. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.
The issue is, people want to PUB smash and stomp all over lobbies of lower skill players. They don't want competitive lobbies.. If things were too easy for people they would not be complaining about broken match making.- 5 years ago
It depends really. Not everyone is affected by it equally and the same matchmaking protocols aren't used across the board for every region. Respawn themselves admitted this. You might be one of the lucky ones and remain unaffected but the next guy's milage may vary.
Competition is one thing, a certain loss is another.
I personally don't like seeing preds in my lobbies as I can't realistically compete at that level. But at this point I don't really care as I stopped taking this game seriously. But back when I did I remember that it felt horrible to be wrecked by every player game after game. Times like that seemed to come and go as your stats go down but not everyone has patience to deal with that. And that's when people start smurfing, when they've had enough and just want to get some form of enjoyment out of the game. From what I've seen and read, smurfs are bad players for the most part and do it because their lobbies are simply too hard.
As for the pub stompers I believe they are far in the minority.
