That says to me that it's okay for a plat one player to have a secondary - that smurfing isn't really smurfing unless you're a top 5% player.

Imo, having an army of hard stuck platinums rattling around in rookie and bronze lobbies whenever it is they feel they've earned the right to "relax" is no better than a predator doing the same. Maybe worse because they're more likely to linger in those lower-skill lobbies for longer.

Nope, if you're gonna verify identity then do it for everyone across the board. Although I can tell you right now that the military-industrial-cheat complex will find a workaround in less time than you can say, "Knucklecluster out." Just send them a jpeg of your face and they'll level up your account for you. Or kids taking pictures of everyone they ever met who doesn't play the game just so they can start new accounts that way. I guarantee you that inside the first week Ronald McDonald would be a "verified" Apex player. And so would Freddie Mercury. And the President. And all the old Presidents. And all the dead Presidents. The opportunities for dip**bleep**tery are pretty much limitless.

Not so simple, face verify is a way to use your camera to verify you, it doesnt work with a jpeg or an ai generated image, some companies specialize in this it is now used to verify trading account users, dating profiles, etc. Someone could use a household member to do the face verify once or twice but it would quickly become a pain and bother them very quick even more if you have to do it a 2nd or 3rd time in a gaming session or during the night while they sleep.

I say only Diamond and up need to verify because they are the ones smurfing the most and with the most skill gap from lower skilled players they make the rank integrity disgusting. Thing is 99% of platinum players dont smurf much for many reasons; first they dont need to since they can play with any friend in Diamond, Gold, Silver, secondly there is not much benefit for them to do it since lower ranks are close to similar skill its just they play not smart, third is they themselves play in bronze, silver and gold EVERY split! Plat players are reset to Bronze and Silver every split meaning they already are playing in those ranks as they should as part of the early grind. So no there wont be an army of plat players going back in bronze 4 times a split... this will never be a thing. I have not done that neither has any friends, but all diamond friends I had were fans of smurfs and easy Gold and Plat lobbies. That's how it is. Plat players dont seek to relax, Diamond players and up do.
