The nerf to her portal was done intentionally for that very reason. Players felt too safe to stay out in the storm. When in fact it should be cause to worry.
Taking extra time looting and engaging in gun fights knowing that a portal could be placed for a safe get away. It was happening all too often.
That's why they changed it.
@ColdHours I thought it was because people were using it end game to avoid fighting the final squad and live longer in the storm? Throw down the portal and just hop in and out of it. You’ll live a few seconds longer.
Sometime you don’t have a choice on the fight. Some squads won’t back off or run to ring so you’re stuck fighting them. We would kill them, I’d throw down the portal as my mates grabbed heals from death boxes. It was part of wraiths strength. It can’t be done anymore.
There other instances as well lat’s say we are at thermal and I ping something at the back. Squad mate goes to grab it and I start running for ring. There is a substantial gap between us.. you can’t throw down a portal for them to catch up. It disappears to quickly.
I get it for all rings after the first.
