Speed up the ring timers
The first ring should have a long time so people can fight and loot. But every ring after that needs to be much shorter like 1-1.5 minutes tops There is currently too much downtime in the middle rin...

You're telling me you dont get bored during those middle rings when the timer is 3 minutes and you cant find anyone to fight?
Or are you telling me you're a camper who likes to sit there and wait forever?
I know i get bored of that very quickly i dont play this game to camp at the edge, wait, move in, repeat until you have to fight
To be honest I personally don't even notice the zones fly by since I am busy chasing and killing squads non stop, then looting them and healing up. Often times, unlike PUBG, I find myself in a small ring with 3 squads total and wonder how I got here so fast. Usually when we start fights, a third, a fourth, a fifth squad come to the party and it takes ages to deal with them all, sometimes even running out of the hot zone.
Have there been any games where I noticed a while until the zone moves? Sure, that happened a couple times maybe. But it is definitely not issue enough to even notice, let alone complain to be fixed. You also do not know how many people don't like the ring movement, and if you are or you have noticed a streamer say that, which I did, it's because it is important for them to pump out content and they slay people so fast that they do get stuck in boring zone situations. Keep the average player in mind.

"Busy chasing and killing squads non stop" what game are you playing? Im talking about apex legends here and that is definitely not the typical game i have and i want to note that i always run over to fight when i hear shooting, unless i have very low health/shields
So its not like im hiding in a corner the whole match and then complain theres no action im actively looking for fights all the time i want to win while getting as many kills as possible but very often there simply is no one around to fight and i dont hear any shooting= running around doing nothing and boredom
I am keeping the average player in mind i believe the average player does not like a ton of down time and would rather be shooting other people because that is simply more fun. No one to shoot? Therefore the game must be changed to fix the problem
I'm with OP on this one, now that I more or less have the game figured out, I feel that even a decrease of 15-20 seconds on each ring would help speed it up a bit. Maybe that can be dependent on the number of people/squads left.

Again this is just your opinion on what average play may or may not like. Many like to snipe, which is extremely difficult to do when the ring moves too fast. The sniper riffles are not even being picked up that often, people tend to main an auto rifle and a shotgun or wingman. The sniper gameplay is currently is not very rewarding as it is and you want to get rid of it completely. . .
There are 2 problems with your argument
1. Sniping is part of shooting so that counts in what im saying, the average player likes to shoot whether its snipe or shotgun or whatever they like to fight. If you cant find anyone there is no one to snipe in the first place so it doesnt really matter your playstyle the problem is the ring
2. You contradict yourself in your own post. On one hand "many like to snipe" according to you, and yet "sniper rifles are not being picked up that often" which means that sniping is not that popular. So which one is it?
