Personally i dont care when ppl say "it's not that bad, just reroll the challenges, etc etc". I want to have fun when playing, i dont want to be forced to play x legend or to play x weapon, in order to progress in the BP, especially when i paid 10 euros for it. If you guys enjoy this kind of practice then good for you.
I know for sure this will be my last BP i paid for unless they revert it back as it used to be.
Again i play to have fun, i play the legends i want to play with guns i want to play. It really is that simple.

@Awake984Then play for fun! Why did you buy the battle pass? Does it bring you more wins? Better stats?
Just admit it, you want the bling too. Apex is free to PLAY, if you want the bling, it comes with some grind. It was always like that.
From some of the comments I realized that people haven't been around since the first Season with challenges. I still remember that dreadful "Get 10 kills with the L-Star", when it was the new care package weapon of the Season 2 and everyone wanted to try it. All this with the old, horrendous muzzle flash effect, in a time where the Disruptor hopup was on almost every Alternator and RE-45 equipped in the game. Another type of challenge from the past worth mentioning is the Season 3 "Get 3 kills in Capitol, then Dome, then Overlook and then Lava Fissure"(yes, 12 kills total, grouped in 4 tiers, so that they couldn't be done in a different order), which for some of us came up in the last week of the BP. What I don't recall is players crying even half as hard about these actual grinding challenges as they are now about the new BP system. - 5 years ago
@DoYaSeeMe What bling are you talking about? The BP is not free, we pay for it. I paid for it like in all the other seasons thinking that i will just play the game as i want to play it and reach lvl 110 doing so, like i did in the last 2 years. If Respawn would announce that they totaly redesigned how the BP system works i for sure wouldn't have bought it.
You saying that we need to grind for stuff that we pay money for is just wrong IMO. But as said Respawn will see how the next season BP will work out for them if they continue to use this model. After all it's their business and they know best, but i know for sure they wont see my money for BP anymore and i am sure i am not the only one.
And also stop calling ppl that complain "crybabies" (indirectly) as we are voicing our opinions and this is what forums are for.
- DaleWWilson955 years agoSeasoned Ace@DoYaSeeMe Your trying to justify them changing the BP when it didnt need changing you really think making it less grindy will work because i dont it needs to be fully reverted back to how it was with or without stars even if the challenges are harder then the last pass it needs to be fully reverted
- 5 years ago@Awake984 "Free to play" means that you can use any weapon, any ability, any legend to kill any enemy. Skins, charms, quips, etc. do not give any extra advantage, they are purely cosmetic (bling). The game is not completely free.
The BP comes with rewards that are immediately available, while the rest can also become yours if you play, while completing daily and weekly challenges give you a boost. This is the rule, it hasn't changed and the challenges aren't the hardest ones to date. If you bought the pass thinking that you don't have to work, that's your problem, but even so, they are trying to make it easier for you, even though it feels dumbed down for the midcore and hardcore players.
Speaking of whining and crying is also voicing an opinion. I haven't pointed a finger at anyone, but the emotional responses dominate over assertiveness on this forum (and certainly other forums/social platforms), that's a well known fact. And I didn't even say that crying is a bad thing, in the end. Some people use it to blow off some steam. But, if we want to discuss constructively and find actual solutions, we need to be more assertive and open up our minds, get out of that comfort zone / thinking box, ya' know? - 5 years ago@Awake984 Don't fret, he probably just likes doing challenges. For everyone else who is missing the point, I stated it in my previous reply and will do so again. People who rely on XP and not doing challenges at all, their XP progression has been cut by 4 times and then reduced to 2 times after backlash.
If you enjoy doing challenges that's good for you, don't tell someone else why they should be forced to do challenges that they don't enjoy. You wanna talk about grinding? People relying solely on XP(old) system and just playing the game to complete the BP play more than you do, so you aren't the right person to lecture us on grinding. Peace out. - 5 years ago
@BaldWraithSimp It's just that i really don't understand why ppl are ok with such practices and are ok with getting less for more.
But as you said to each his own and i believe Respawn/EA will soon see the * up with less revenue from the BP, after all it's all about the money in the end.
- 5 years ago@BaldWraithSimp Are you feeling forced to "Play [X] Games", "Survive [X] minutes", "Outlive [X] opponents", "Collect [X] crafting materials", "Craft [X] items"? I strongly doubt it. The increased frequency of this kind of challenges will probably make up for the 2.3 levels/ week less than the previous system and, as I said before, they will probably reintroduce the double XP events.
Also, it's possible that they get what they wanted out of this backlash 🙂. People reluctant to buy the BP in the first weeks, putting a bit less strain on the servers, then realizing that it's a non issue really and filling up the queues in the second half of the season. And so, Apex will slowly "decline" into becoming a billion-dolar-in-annual-revenue game 🙂 - 5 years ago@DoYaSeeMe
If it’s a billion dollar game
there’s no excuse for changing a system to force customers to buy more battle pass levels
There’s no excuse in lying to customers and not giving them what they were promised (ea pro not giving battle passes anymore),
There’s no excuse in such poor quality updates, constant bugs and audio problems that don’t get fixed season to season
There’s no excuse to rehashing events and simply recolouring their skins and instead of offering those in game to earn or for legend tokens they resell them at full price
There’s no excuse to having such poor communication with the community on problems that we as a community have
There’s no excuse for any of it. If they want to be treated like AAAdevs working on a billion dollar game, start acting like it - 5 years ago
@RockScorpion384is there a special treatment for billion dollar AAA devs? Actually, there is...more hate, pressure, even real life threats. As if they slaughtered puppies while the game just miraculously teleported to the top grossing list.
Oh no, Apex is dying!

Respawn change it to get a lot of money from BP.
While few hardcore players don't have problem to level up (playing everyday, doing all challenges, playing non-stop), majority of people (90%) simply can't or not willing to do such thing.
BP suppose to bring community together, bring fun, reward and challege at same time, but at current state, it tear us apart.
They definetly need to make change, so let see what they come up this Wednesday.

After 1 week of data (level progression & distribution, and how only few people buy BP), they can see how much damage has been done to their financial and they will adjust accordingly.
But at that point, it will be damage control.
I wish they didn't wrecked it in 1st place since Season-7 could be the great season for long time.
