@Persistance55 theres a difference between a game where you lose rank by not playing, and one where you just do the bare minimum to get a rank and never have to lose it. Nobody here is going to believe you on your rocket league story btw.
if you dont like people using voice chat to tell you that you made a bad play, then mute them. Or say something back to them? You sound like a child crying that someone yelled at them.
The other day, someone started talking * when he died in a teamfight. I got on my mic and said, yo quit yelling or take the 10 minute leaver penalty, cuz im not listening to this and im not giving up. He proceeded to calm dwon and we won the game. Sometimes people act toxic because they know nobody is going to reply. Its really easy for me to sit here and type this at you, calling you a stupid kid. But i bet if we were using our voice comms to speak, it would be a different conversation.
Instead of crying that someone was toxic, be a symbol of non toxicity and try to push that, instead of coming onto the forums to complain about listening to people that you have an option to hear. You sound borderline *.
Youre not better than them because you arent toxic, you coming to make a post makes you worse than them. SPEAK to the people who cause you problems, dont troll around like a gremlin looking for someone to feel sorry for you

@Gatorbaker "theres a difference between a game where you lose rank by not playing, and one where you just do the bare minimum to get a rank and never have to lose it" this.
Some people don't seem to understand that they're the ones who brought the team down by not understanding your teammates' situation. I have met tons of people who are so bad at the game which bronze-gold players, camping from the get-go, looting at the edge of the map where nobody is even close, always running away once they hear a gunshot, sitting around for 15 minutes doing absolutely nothing just to die to a squad waiting for you inside of the ring, and they blame me when I engage with enemies. Like come on, what are you doing? this is a shooter game and we need kills to get points.
I used to get called out by good players when I did mistakes and of course, it's sucks but I am willing to learn the game, the mechanics, the strategies, now I am more than decent at Apex and I'm still learning, instead of crying why people were so mean to me because I did mistakes and brought the whole team down.
I understand if they are low-skilled players, we all started at the lowest level at some point, but when players who actually want to play the game properly guide these crybabies with all sorts of pings and still act braindead by refusing to learn, then what's the point? They are not making progress skill-wise and got mad when people called them out.
I played with lots of newbies every now and then that are willing to follow instructions and always try to understand their situations and I have no problem if they couldn't live up to my expectations while they actually tried.

To be honest youre describing how S11 had to be played, S12 will bite you hard if you play like that. Different point rules different game... This is also why you see gold up normally last ring youre still 5+ teams alive, not like S11 where R3 2 teams left.
