Stream Sniping, Just Stop.

I keep getting into groups that just die to streamers just to be part of the stream. They land in some random * spot just to rush someone (they shouldn't even know if there), just to get killed and quit. I guess public games are meant to be open for people to play as they want, but damn.

    @Bolted_Fault Ain't buying what? That stream snipers exist? They do. Just watch any of the more popular streamers and you will see it. The same people will drop with the steamer no matter where they go. Sometimes they are looking for clout to say they killed them. Other times they just run up and tbag and let them kill them. Then you have the hackers that stream snipe and take the biggest names hostage.

    @Bolted_Fault Just search "stream sniping" on YouTube. Tons of videos and compilations of big names dealing with it. As @hayhor mentioned, some people literally just drop and approach the streamer to give them a free kill, and some people are specifically trying to kill the streamer. I don't understand the reasoning behind either group. I guess it gets them content? Idk

    @Cheese9Man

    I don't have a clue what others get out of it.

    @Bolted_Fault

    I'm not about to provide any details to ease your own skepticism, but what I will do is share my opinion on the subject no matter if you like it or not, that's for you to decide.

    @Popa2caps while I do not doubt you, opening a thread and stating an opinion should really be qualified with proof, after all it can't be that difficult for you to insert a link here that would lead to a much better discussion.

    I have not seen such a video and would be interested to see one that proves your point honestly and conclusively.

    @Bolted_Fault This is very common def in PC lobbies. Just the other day I watched someone run up to Daltoosh squatting dropped all their gear and ammo for him before he killed him. Just to name some streamers I have seen this happen with. Daltoosh, Hal, Lyric, Faide, LuLu, and many more I could list. So no proof is needed to prove his case its done on stream with people who have well over 1k+ viewers and see it daily.

    Yes stream sniping exists and is despicable. However I thought that meant someone was watching the streamer live and providing info to others so that they could easily track and kill the streamers with info provided to them by the stream watcher that the sniper could never have had in game.

    @E9ine_AC "Just the other day I watched someone run up to (removed streamer name) squatting dropped all their gear and ammo for him before he killed him".

    Shame on the player for doing this giving up a free kill like this is on the verge, no let me take that back, is a form of teaming in that you are allowing yourself to be farmed. I really think that is just disgusting and that player should get a temp ban the first offense and perma baned the next time. The streamer should never give in to the urge to support that behavior by killing that type of player and should move along as fast as they can otherwise I find them just as culpable of committing a ToS infraction by gaining free KP.

    Hideouts needs to step up watch some streams old and new and start handing out bans for this stuff because blatantly giving any player, especially a streamer a free kill is just wrong and promotes it further. In fact Streams with such content should be removed from the net in order to stop promoting that and enabling those streamers to increase their rank stay a pred etc. and before anyone asks for proof if you have watched enough streams it is easily found.

  • How the hell stream sniping even works in apex! You must get into same game as streamer, then find it by stream witch is probably 20-30 s late and then kill it! Seems easier to write than to do it, same as its to chase people with ash ult
