Takeover Event vs LTM

Noticed that this season we didn't get a takeover event and they brought back LTMs. For those who didn't know, starting season 7 (airdrop escalation), all LTMs (except for Control) will takeover the regular trios mode. Now it's back to being a separate mode. Of course this has pros and * like a separate mode doesn't disrupt normal trios but it may suffer from filling up the lobby since you would need 60 players.

Do you prefer the LTMs as separate mode or do you want takeover events where the LTM replaces trios?

    @Cheese9Man Seperate ltms for sure. I especially like that the maps are on a different rotation. I can fully avoid stormpoint.

    @Cheese9Man I much prefer takeovers, ultra quick loading, and it’s just generally more fun. I loved the ring flare event in season 8! I think I was the only one that didn’t have a problem with Mad Maggie being the announcer, I like the change of announcers! I think anything being a takeover is much better than anything being an ltm.

    I think I would prefer a hybrid.  One or two days of takeover, then it shifts to a mode to select.  It needs pushing for people to notice it (I guarantee there are lots of people who played today without even noticing it was there), but getting a takeover for a full week is annoying to anyone but the die-hard fans of the particular mode,

    @Cheese9Man I think it depends on the mode lol. But I think you'd get more feedback from a new mode if it was a takeover cuz people have no choice but to play it or play Ranked/Duos.

    You guys sound like you had queue time issues in this ltm? My games loaded instantly so I'm not sure what you mean by it would help get more players if it was forced.

    @Cheese9Man I'd have to go with separate modes. I don't notice any difference in queue times on my end, and I like being able to choose what I want to play. I don't want to be stuck with ranked or arena, if I am not in the mood for the LTM. I don't have the attention span to play the same mode for 2 weeks straight, Lol

    Same as always. When you just wanna play Apex Legends but they wanna force you into playing some dumb LTM... find another game to play instead.
