tap strafe not working

If it's completely non-functional, they must have changed it differently than they did before the play tests. I wonder why. Either what they did first broke something that we didn't hear about, or perhaps they weren't happy with leaving it working up to 90 degrees as it was in the play tests.

Check your mouse, is it in battery conservation mode or something that makes the poll frequency drop. 60 deg sounds like 2w worth of tap strafe, while the nerf they talked about coming was around 3w while now you can do 5w, sounds like your mousewheel dont register as many w's as before. Did you get a driver update, or something like that to the mouse?
I would check out the general settings for polling rate on the mouse, same with optimized battery mode can do the same. That is my suspicion atleast, it has to do with how many "clicks" you can do with the wheel that limits your tap strafe to 60deg
- @Zkepz I have checked all of those and they havent helped its almost like there is a delay to the tap strafe. It feels like there is a delay in the registry when i scroll down and once again its not my mouse cuz the same problem applies to all of them.
Sounds like Microsoft handles the mouse so you get unintended latency. Check if you can use mouse's software to replace ms stuff
I had a bit of the same problem when I lowered my sensitivity, needed to retrain all timing and movement to get everything back and running again
