@hayhor Have you ever tested it yourself or are you talking with a lack of knowledge? i've seen it first hand, i've done full on testing with it. The crosshair will follow people without you touching the stick at all, so much so that it moves your camera 90 degrees. This can easily be seen if you hotdrop next to people and the camera chooses to follow those people. It happens on xbox too so no, this cant be blamed on "modders" since those dont exist there. Keep lying yourself about it not existing though.
@Oyasumlpunpun Lol at this console aim assist crap.
To clarify I HAVE tested it. It slows movement slightly when close to a target. It will snap as you said but only if you're aiming at kneecaps....and frankly anybody aiming at kneecaps needs to work on their aim lol.
Aim assist also creates issues when fighting multiple enemies crossing each others paths as it will often work against you end up dragging your aim into thin air whilst said enemies delete you.
It's also far less effective st range, it's more of a close range benefit, which is why m&k is superior at long range.

@MandatoryIDtag While i havent seen the kneecaps thing(i've seen a lot of tracking when aiming at the face/body) I do agree personally that the aim assist is beyond annoying to use because of how it takes control away from you but i was a free aim player in other games when i played games competitively on 360-xbone so it was naturally annoying to me. There are some players that are able to abuse the hell out of the aim assist/auto aim mechanics though, pro players use controllers to exploit it, a good example would be NIRU who has stated out right that controllers would be crap without it. Theres things that controllers can do that are insane though like being able to track people through smoke and track real mirages when they ult with the aim assist, over all i will always stand by the fact that controller aim assist needs to be turned off in PC lobbies at the very least. (Some NIRU content for an example of high tier controller play on PC: https://youtu.be/bqiZSgtV9LE )

At least it’s fair if you hate it @Oyasumlpunpun
but I’d really just sum this up as a bow nerf versus other guns do more damage arguement.
Me, I hate how little the guns do in this game. There are a few dangerous weapons and the rest turn into garbage. People blame the weapons around here thinking the less the base damage is, somehow the better there will be. Sure not all arguements but the vast majority I see.
id really prefer more guns get a damage boost rather that nerf the few good ones. Especially in a game where your friends can pick you up again. The game is too soft, IMO

@KelRiever See, that i can get behind but the damage of the bow is still way too high. It shouldnt rival a kraber if you want a weapon to do more damage as a whole. Like them messing with the longbow and the wingman making them lesser versions of themselves with headshot damage but bringing in a bow that does sentinel damage per headshot is beyond poorly thought out to me. Then you have guns like the P2020, that gun was scary with hammer point, them removing that sucks but they didnt just remove that, they made the gun worse by ruining its fire rate too. Yes they increased the damage but the lower fire rate completely made the gun useless rather than giving it a chance at being actually useful outside of using it as the only gun you find on a hot drop. If respawn was smart, they'd remove the gimmick guns (P2020, mozam) and up the damage on other guns. Its like how they dealt with the mastiff last season, they lowered the damage on it only to make the EVA the new mastiff in terms of damage and usability when all they needed to do is put the mastiff back in the care package. They have no idea what they're doing in my honest opinion.

@Oyasumlpunpun I try to stay out of that argument to be honest as a console player I've got no right to be butting my nose in the pc aim assist debate.
It's somewhat different for us as literally everyone has aim assist so it's not like it gives one player an edge over another.
From what I've seen with controller vs k&m is it all boils down to superior movement/superior ease of aim. Each has pro's and co.ns....but without playing PC apex myself I wouldn't make an argument for either side being better.
I suppose Respawn are concerned about splitting the playerbase on PC by having specific lobbies for both control formats.....because y'know longer queues leads to lower player interest. Which in turn leads to lower profit as players move on to other games.
Or at least that's the more cynical observation on the issue anyway. 😛

@MandatoryIDtag Theres a good amount of pred KB&M players that dread dealing with the random controller user simply because their tracking does some magical stuff. All i would want is for controller users to be forced to play without aim assist in PC lobbies, not to harm them or anything but to give them a chance to learn the joys of aiming without aim assist. Games feel better on controller when you aim for yourself 100%, im just a free aim elitist in that regard though. Its an issue but one that i doubt with ever get fixed because bigger issues are always at hand. (like fing ghost footsteps happening more when i play crossplay as a PC player, would love if that got fixed)

Hal pretty much said that the bow is broken in absolutely every department. It needs speed reduction, damage reduction, fall off damage, as well as bullets drop. :D
He also said that the BOW is super easy to use at all levels.
Respawn are terrible at designing weapons. They should just copy from Scavengers. They definitely know how to create good and balanced weapons.
SMG is a SMG, you got a huge fall of damage, bullets drop, and big inaccuracy at long range. But they are master at close range, as it should be. Pump are 100% QC exclusively, and you are not getting a 2 pump to dead, unless if its from 1m and he manage to land all of its pellets. Snipers and Bows are great balanced, and the aiming with them is 100% skill based.
As well as if you are in the open lets said in a close to middle distance, you miss 1-2 shots with Bow/Snipers, you going to get paid for it, as it should be.
