What!?!?! No I'm not. I'm sincerely trying to help the community.
Also to that other person, I definitely know what to look for and how to catch sneaky cheaters. I was an admin of one of the biggest cs communities for years.

I agree with VPPTrue. There are cheaters, but people are blowing it completely out of proportion. Anecdotal evidence doesn't really mean anything, but out of about 300 games, I maybe ran into 2 suspect plays. I think a lot of people on here need a scapegoat as to why they are performing poorly. "If I'm not able to win or get top 3, someone must be cheating". Having this attitude will be a hindrance to learning the game. You need to accept there are better players than you in order to grow and get better at the game. And I agree, you probably could've used "inflated" instead of "artificial".

The difference with "anecdotal evidence" about cheating is that it's backed up with statistics and video evidence. Whereas your "anecdotal evidence" about players not cheating is not backed up by any stats at all. Even if 16,000 bans were a tiny portion of the player base, it doesn't mean that the players reporting cheats on the forum haven't encountered one of them.
In addition to the stats that back up accounts of cheating on the forums there is the number of instances of cheating. So if there were 16,000 cheats who each played 25 matches with 60 players that would be 24,000,000 instances of cheating, if they only cheated once for each player on the server. Each of those players being a witness who could potentially post on the forums.
We are talking about how many people have seen someone cheating. Or how many people witnessed those 16,000 players cheating. Plus all the other ones who have been banned in the two weeks or so since that information became available.

Statistics? There were 16,000 cheaters caught around the same time 25,000,000 players were reported. That means there's about 1 cheater in every 1,563 players. In any one game, there would be 59 other players if you queued solo. For that one game you have 0.00108% chance of meeting a cheater. That means for every 1,000 games you play, you have 1.08% chance of meeting a cheater one time. I'd say about 1/5th of the forum posts are about cheaters. I think it's a bit of mental gymnastics to think that cheats are as rampant as whats being reported on these forums.
It would be really interesting to pull all the profiles of both people claiming they don't see cheaters and people claiming cheats are running rampant. You could do a regression analysis based on their level and kills through the stat tracker website. I expect you would reach the conclusion that people claiming that there are rampant cheats just need to "git gud".

I can make a video where I play 10 games(if i survive long enough) and show you more than 50% will have cheaters.(I might get racist after that)
wana bet?
