The current state of Apex Legends
Today I decided to play and try to grind on Apex Legends ranked, I've played Apex since it came out, as long as I can remember I've played all the ranked seasons I got myself far by myself, I am a random. I don't team or squad up. Today I could say I had a really bad experience since season 4 it has been harder to rank up than usual, and it's not because of the Sweats. It is because of the recent matchmaking system. I guess you could say it is running perfect but I don't really think so most of my games are: I get jump-master, I always get Jump-master, I land safe drop, if I am lucky my team is good or there is no one there so we either kill the team or loot up I try to get in a fight early or if my team is passive we camp until 6 squads ( I am in Gold ) Most of the time we either get unlucky and die, or their is a third party. It is a 33%, 33%, the other 33% is that we kill them, the other 1% is that we hit a stalemate. Most of the time I want to play passive because Third Parties are always going to happen, maybe even 4th parties. Today what happened is that I got put in a group with A Lifeline and a Wratih named Bappo_Lchappo and the Wraith name is BerriCool2310. Right off the bat the Wraith goes Solo, so she can choose when to jump. I am like "Sure okay maybe she just doesn't want to jump when I do" So I mark a location, no one says anything so I jump, the Wraith didn't jump too, I didn't notice that until her Quips plays when she jumps. I say to myself "Wait she isn't landed with us, Ugh she better be good" When she drops I noticed something odd, she phases and I look at my map, we are in the looting state so I didn't have enough time to look at where she is going. I said "already?" A few minutes after she phased again I thought "Is she being chased or something? She hasn't been hurt" few more minutes her banner popped up and it said "[Fall] Berricool2310" I said "What the hell?" I looked at my map and she was at the edge of the map. She committed suicide. I said "Ugh what the f*ck" We were being shot at, too. So my Lifeline and me got split up. My Lifeline died too. He got his mic and said "Go * kill yourself!!" both the Wraith and the Lifeline left, I didn't know if I get loss forgiveness because I didn't know if they left early or not. So I had to choose my options and I chose to camp. Most of my games after someone dies or my team dies is to camp. I'm not Acue, I am not a Master or Pred. I'm a plat 3 guy who just play ranked to get better at the game. People dying destroys that, and even when you get their banners'. Respawn is loud so people would just get chased now and killed again, if you are lucky you get away with some health the best you are going to get is most likely a Mozam and a sniper. R-301, R-99 or even the other guns like Alt, Havoc, and Hemlock are not even present where the Respawns are.
I know I took my time to write this essay but I doubt that any people at Respawn will see it, It's not because they are not good people or that they don't care. It's that they have better things to do then listen to a person complaining on the internet about how People are killing themselves on purpose and telling people to go kill yourself.
In the small chance that a person from Respawn actually see this I want a report system, not only for cheaters or people who harass in game chat, but for people who purposely throw games and sabotage their game
TL;DR I have a Wraith and Lifeline that Committed Suicide and Told me to go kill myself, I rant about how ranked needs a better matchmaking system.
