Yeah, don’t bother with the streak. Too much of it is out of your control.

This is probably just a temporary thing until season two and ranked comes along

I got to 28 streak (lost to normal gameplay) and never got disconnected from the middle of the game. Disconnects before the game (during loading) happen a lot after last patch, but that doesn't break the streak.

I'd say you're in complete control of your streak. The more forced fights you can win (some games are just very slow and you can't just chill outside the zone all the way to top5), the higher your streak will be.

Doing a long streak is quite a fun experience (that's how BR should be actually played), but 20+ streak takes at minimum 2 days just to do it, so pretty much 1-2 attempts at it and that's it.

P.S. The new circle damage is ridiculous, don't even bother with elite now.

So you are saying you got your (super impressive) streak by camping in storm lol that’s cute you are the type of player op is talking about but have a nice day because I will not respond when you start talking about how you don’t camp in the storm when that is the only way storm damage would bother you and apparently it bothers you lol

Agree 100 percent and the part that bothers me the most is a large portion of the champions I see with streak over 15 on there little counter hide until the very end and are just terrible they usually shoot you in the back and you turn around and kill them it drives me nuts how many terrible players are in the last gun fight now 

the last gun fight use to be the best part of the game but now it is just terrible players that still have white shields crap guns and it is rarely even fun killing them 

only thing I have left is hot dropping those fights are still enjoyable but yeah noobs wanting to brag about there streak has taken a lot of the joy out of this game for me 

I enjoy Elite.

I've seen solo p[layers hide which is fair enough. I'm yet to come across squads that are camping the way you describe. People are more cautious and want to pick their fights. That's great imo. No more out in the open no brain face tanking. People are actually thinking about what they do and when.

I also like the heavy ring damage. It pushes players together without all the BS fighting for minutes outside the ring. There was never any danger when it was weak (ala normal playlist).

I also like how players spread out on drop now, instead of the constant suicide hot drops.

It seems people don't like having "their way" of playing disrupted. If you don't like elite, play regular. Elite wont be here forever, but I bet ranked ends up playing just like this, and I hope they keep the heavier ring damage. You should be scared to get caught in it.

Few people like to wait in this game. It's run run run to the sound of gunfire. Stand still and you're a noob/camper. Gotta get that "most kills most damage" game play. 

I pretty much only queue with randoms and I have yet to get a game like this. If this happens just start shooting randomly and attract people. If your teammates don't like it, well that's too bad.

I don't like my way of playing disrupted in this way.

If i want to play a campfest there are 10 other games out there.

I play apex because i like the way it plays.

They ruin the way it plays and you lose players that love the way it used to be.

Yes this is the apex legends that i love.

Its the only BR our there that nailed it like that.

I would say if you don't like it go play ANY OTHER br game out there!

There is so much choice for your stand still think about it playstyle.

And i HOPE with ranked it will also count your squad kills and damage done.

Ranked would ruin apex legends if it will only look at your standing in the match.

Well judging by the incoming changes, the none thinkers will have more to "not think about" and then complain.

I play the way the match dictates. I don't, and shouldn't expect the same tactics to work game after game.

Judging by your tone, you must think I'm a camper? I play any number of different ways according to where I am, who is around and how many teams. I don't shoot on site, or from ridiculous ranges giving away my squads position. If I need to wait, I wait. If I need to push I'll push.

This thread is becoming the classic Cod threads of the past..... "campers are noobs, everybody should rush and if you don't it's because you are bad". I think it's hysterical.

If you are truly good at the game, you can deal with campers, slow players and fast players. If you are trying to say rushing is skilful and you then die to a corner camper, you need to improve your skills imo. High TTK gives the advantage to the rusher. A stationary target (camping in a corner) is quickly downed if your movement is up to scratch, and even then, * happens.

A rounded player is night and day better than a one trick pony.

Edit: I loved Apex before the patch and still love it now. I embrace the changes, but then again I don't play to brag about pixels for stats that just don't matter. Any badges you earn and display, are largely ignorde by who you are playing with. I take zero notice of them now. I've had low level players who play amazing and high stat p[layers who are just awful.

I know, in your head you think your team or opponents are seeing your badges and drooling at your "skill". A high percentage of them are not I can guarantee.

When do I say I don't camp. I do ANYTHING I think help me win the game (that's literally the essence of the genre). My by far favorite tactic in PubG solo has always been looting until 15-20 ppl left and then racing to the zone from the other side of the map on a bike (and then murdering half the ppl in top10, since they tend to hold spots I want).

The time of endgame is set by the zone timings. It's of course safer to NOT participate in any engagements until then. Ppl who fight do it for the sake of fighting, not to win the game. I do a lot of fighting often myself, but I don't consider that I'm playing to win when I do that. I know I'm playing the game in an improper way when I do that.

And for the zone damage, there is reasonable damage and there's damage that's so horribly too high that's not even funny. If you can't even use a healing item without moving an inch in the first zone - it IS way too high. Add no vehicles and bugged balloons and you've got yourself recipe for unavoidable deaths.

The goal of the zone is ONLY to limit game length, not to kill ppl.

The zone doesn’t kill anyone that is not inside it seems to me like it is doing its job now and it didn’t use to just my opinion
