it brightens your day to know most days i just load apex dont jump into discords chat and find a premade real fast ... the fact is delightful to you that after your squad is deleted you get a time out at the squad elimated screen... you should have read my entire post not the few lines and then commented attempting to drop your 2 cents worth of fail trollness LMFAO!!! i was posting a true concern that actually happened not a guy ranting about getting a timeout cuz i left and think that it sucks.... i think its a good penatly it keeps the pug matches togther and forces them to actually play together...... now when everyone is dead.... the squad elim screen appears you get click happy and click leave the match on that screen you GET A TIME OUT!... funny i get 30 day bans from the forum gods for typing comments like this i used to blow up little forum guys like you... i guess they pick and choose who can comment troll remarks back to people who post in here.... this enlightens YOU to know that a person has had an issue with something.... i hope you have an issue with something else... and when you voice you experience a little troll rolls you down the street bouncing your face off the pavement as you approach the stop sign ... think back and remember what karma is and the act of passing it forward to help your fellow man!
You should get a text on screen that tells you that if you quit now, you will get a leaver penalty. If you ignore that message and just quit, then yes you may get the penalty.
It can be quite frustrating if you cannot be practically respawned anymore by teammates and you'll have to wait out the timer, but on the other hand, your team is still alive and has a chance to win.
Imagine if the penalty wasn't in place. These same people would be raging on about how their teammates leave the match and they now have to play solo vs teams.
When will the madness stop ๐คจ

I am not following what you are saying. If you cannot be respawned (banner times out) then you don't get a leaver penalty as far as I was aware. Are you saying you still get a penalty?! Is your banner actually timed out?

I agree with this.
There should be greater distinction in the the on-screen messages, between when you can and can't leave without penalty. There must also be a confirmation to quit when a penalty would be incurred.
I would just also like to add my suggestion to counter "rage-quitting". Which is to enable players - particularly those who know they rage-quit - to set a 'cool down' timer on the option to quit before the option to quit is fully activated. The timer could just be a few seconds but may be enough time to counteract the reflex tendency to quit. ๐๐ค
- This leaver penalty doesn't have reset? I got penalty for 5 mins (1st time) then the next day, more or less 24 hrs later, I left again and I got a 10 mins penalty wth? So this thing will just add up without reset?
- Also why do I get penalty when both of my teammates already left / quit? When I'm alone I should be able to leave without penalty? wth...
Holy *, ranked is going to be more empty than season 2 dude, not that I care since I only do ranked for Battle Pass Challenges.
