It’s a good idea, but y’all have missed the mark a little. The camera angle should be just above the head and to the right. As it is it’s basically straight out right from the shoulder. So your Legend is blocking visibility unless you aim at the ground. Some tweaking is needed.
This is a good idea and I hope in the future it becomes a permanent OPTION. Every player should have the option of first or third person that’s switchable in-game. We should also have the option to have the crosshairs switchable to either side of the weapon being used.
Also, like others have stated above, there is something off with loot/environment interaction.
Anyway, I applaud the efforts to implement third person and it is very rewarding being able to see the Legend you are playing. This is the right direction but it does need a little work.
Remember, third person camera should be just above the head and slightly to to right of the shoulder. You should be able to look forward without impairing visibility.

Another thing... When zooming you lose the benefit of the scopes. Other than digital threats and sniper scopes, all other scopes are just another 3rd person zoom with the hip fire reticles.
First, the hip fire reticles are dismal for any precision shooting. The 3x scope, for example, is now much less effective. This purple scope has little value at all as a precision tool. Same goes for all other scopes too. They are much less effective.
Second, this should also be optional. If some players prefer a hip fire zoom reticle, this should be an imbedded option for all scopes in a quality 3rd person setup. This would be similar to how players can adjust sensitivity per scope already.
Again, I like the idea, but it doesn’t work well currently. I hope that this will be a full option for all players down the road. 3rd person as an LTM only is meh. I’d like to think that this was just an initial test.
Lastly, remember, the 3rd person camera should be above the head and to the right of the shoulder. Visibility shouldn’t be impaired at all.

3rd person mode is kiddy mode.
Peak corners & walls etc.
It's a bit meh.
- Gabrielmojo266 years agoSeasoned Ace@DarthVaapar When in third person mode, a right hand peak is when you hide behind cover to see your enemy, gives you the edge for a surprise attack, wouldn’t be fair to implement a third person view option for that said reason.
