I do not understand the need get up close and trade damage face to face with the opposition. Of course there are times when it is required but it seems to be standard procedure... Maybe I'm thinking too hard, the competitive nature in me I guess.

@RaisinFlakes Up close fighting is fun. There is an art to damaging and moving in tho that most people ignore.
You are right, if you avoid most close fights you'll let the lobby kill itself and have a better chance of winning. It's just some of us don't care about winning that much.

- 3 years ago@hayhor As much as I love Apex, THIS is my biggest criticism of BR.
Inactivity often rewards more than activity. This (in my opinion) is a facet that detracts from its competitive integrity as a shooter.- reconzero3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Axs5626Sxa5001

Speed is one factor that can add to the competitiveness of a game, but this game doesn't remove speed from the equation. It asks the player to make a judgment about the necessity of speed, or even about the wisdom of speed. Players seem to exercise the option rarely enough that I'm not sure it's fair to suggest that it detracts from the games competitive integrity. In fact, I would say the opposite. Patience is a skill, after all, much as it might pain the average Apex player to admit it.
