This is not correct, you can hear flyers from miles away. I have a proper headset and set it up properly for Apex. I can hear octanes, valkyries, anything flying from far away.
Especially when you come flying and land on someone, you will be atleast shieldless before your weapon is up so you cant land on top of anyone if they gold/plat level up or you will be toast. You can land close by and strategize fast and attack, but its a fast game that goes for a fast lifeline jumping you from behind too. Octaine jump can be a supprise if there is a lot going on so you dont hear the jump pad and the stabilization jets of the approaching team/person, but in chaos is where you can hide your sounds.
But in general if you setup your headset properly you should be able to sense the game and handle it quite well, now and again the game loose its sound rendring for some sounds and that is annoying so I hope they get that 100% at some point however.
- hayhor4 years agoHero@Zkepz Sometimes the sound doesn't work or you aren't paying attention or there's lots of other sounds. But I agree, if a person lands directly on you, you should win the fight as they cannot pull their gun for at least a couple seconds.

It's only a problem when the sound bugs out, when you're not paying attn you deserve to loose though 😁, but when the sound works correctly it's not a problem stopping a flyer coming for you. So I am saying I don't think we need a change only get the sound more reliable.

I shouldn't have mentioned the audio because its just simply the advantage in numbers 3 v 1.
Its like a sudden Wraith portal that opens above you. You may hear it from far, you may not, it may not matter if you hear it even, you dont go holding hands with your team most of the time. Should I step on the heals of my teammates looting? No, you spread out.
Anyway, its just a cheap way of playing. Its too easy.

When you say you have a head set and set it up for Apex - what exactly did you do to set it up for Apex. I have a $300 Headset strictly made for BR's with surround, 7.1 yadda yadda and close to 50% of the time Valk within 10 to 30 feet of me using her jetpack makes little to most times no sound at all. Octane's jump pad was the same until they buffed the sound on it, no problems with him now, but Valk it is consistent.
If there is anything I can do to improve this would be awesome, however I just chalked it up as Respawns inability to produce proper sound.
