Transfer Apex EA Account from PSN to Xbox

Hello all! I need help. I have been playing Apex Legends on my Playstation 4 and have recently purchased an XBOX Series S and tried to transfer my game and saved EA onto the new platform. But when I signed into the game, it's starting from ground zero. None of my characters, skins etc are there. Its virtaully blank and starting new.

Now I know this is possible because I know several people who have transitioned from Playstation 4 to Xbox Series X/S the same way I am trying to, and they seemed to have had no issues. 

please help! I just want to play Apex on my xbox with all my EA stuff transferred too.
