UnDevoted

The Devotion underrated ???

Always been a gun I've just felt uncomfortable about... but I've used it a couple of times recently and I'm wiping out squads.

If you manage to get yourself the jump on a 2 opponent CQC situ or hop on the back of fighting enemies you can really do some serious damage.

Thoughts about this wild af weapon?

  • @1ronKeys I have been a devoted user of this since like... s3. Sometimes just ran double devo back then, ah the fun. Although, after the Havoc recoil buff, I must admit that I just pick the Havoc nowadays, but Devo still good. As a hip-fire weapon, it's one of the best. As I've said before; unless your opponent one-mags you with a SMG, which is made harder after the SMG nerf, or gets a lucky PK hit on you, and not those typical 9 dmg hits... well, the devo just keeps shooting, without needing a reload or weapon swap, and will often defeat these players up close.

As a short range, hipfire & finishing weapon the Devotion absolutely melts other than that it seems to have recoil mor akin to an SMG & for me it probably has the worst recoil of all the weapons in the game.I'm at a loss as to why the  Devotion even uses a barrel stabilizer when it's big brother the Havoc doesn't use one yet is far easier to handle particularly at mid-range & like CCbathwater mentioned I always tend to choose the Havoc over it.The Devo needs a bit of love put back into it & is long overdue a buff just not one of those reworks though.

I'm exposing myself as the middling player that I am when I say this, but the devotion is aces if you can find the turbo, and it's useless without it. And you can't find the turbo. Ever. If you find the gun then you'll carry it around all match without ever seeing the hop up, and if by some miracle you find the hop up early-game then good luck finding the gun. And if by yet another even bigger miracle you get both in the same match then your teammates will implode in 17th place and leave you to solo to second where the final squad will melt you before you can even pull the trigger.

In thousands of matches I got the gun, the hop, and the teammates for the endgame ONE TIME and I think I took out four or five people with it before we won. And that's coming from a guy who averages about one kill per four matches.
