@noXn21 I would imagine the reasons behind this are technical. Voice to text recognition is a fairly expensive operation (and it's not 100% accurate - accents, language, dialect, volume, background noise - think it through) to be doing in real time along with the game. You'd also need to be able to store the audio to refer to it later if it was to be investigated. This opens up all sorts or problems and issues. I'm not sure how you think it would work but, from a technical perspective, I can see all sorts of issues with this.
Scanning text for no-no's is trivial in comparison. They can't seem to get THAT right so that also begs the question as to how voice monitoring would be in practice.
I mute virtually all the time so it's never an issue. I've had abuse in the past but, meh, whatever. I've even had people take the time to message me post-match to tell me how crap I am and to delete Apex. Community can be pretty toxic. I learned my lesson in FIFA to not engage (as I was the one who got the ban) but these people are just *. Not sure what we can do about it. Voice monitoring isn't going to happen anytime soon; that's just how it is.
