I heard they were going to add the L-Star. Maybe we will see it this season.

Yes, you're right. I forgot that the Volt is a SMG. I know that it shoots energy rounds in the Titanfall universe, but when it comes to balancing in Apex, i still think it should be a Heavy Ammo weapon, and should be moved to the Assault Rifle category, since it looks and feels more like an AR.
And no, i didn't forget the L-STAR, i mentioned it near the end of my post and i didn't want to talk about it so much, since i'm not familiar with it in Titanfall 2 Multiplayer, and only used it once in the campaign for a few minutes. But i think it would be nice with another LMG, since there's only Spitfire and Devotion so far.
I also agree that its magazine should be unlimited and a Legendary Airdrop only weapon, with a overheat system.
