What happened to the apex subreddit?

I see that they set the community to private. what happened?

@SodaDrinker34 could be part of a planned boycott by multiple subreddit communities due to reddit changing something that would end third party apps.

idk what happened i do know reddit wont allow me to post new threads so i have no use for reddit i wash my hands of reddit its useless to me.
