@Cabowse Hmm, at the beginning of Season 3, I got around 1k by using the initial version of the Charge Rifle. But my top damage games (1.3-1.8k) were Flatline + R301 or R99.
My average is around 312. I'd say 400+ is the value from where you start to actually feel involved in the match. 500-750 gives your wins a good taste, while 1K+ feels satisfying even if you don't win.

Did some snooping around pros discussing this topic... Seems like there's the golden rule of 1000 dmg./5 kills average in 100 games... Which means ~500 dmg./2-3 kills average per game is "good".

@EryxApex it literally all depends on whether you're playing purely for kills or damage output i guess.
I go for the latter, constantly harassing distant squads with snipers to wear them down. If i get the kills that's just an added bonus. My damage never tallies up with my kills, i'll happily let me teammates take the kill glory.
I just find it makes the wins much easier personally.
