What is the average number of matches before someone gets a win?

Hello!

I'm definitly a newbie and hope I'm not in the wrong place for asking this question..but here we go:

What is the average number of matches before someone gets a win?

Important to note

- Without taking skills into consideration it would be 1 in 20

- What if we take skill in consideration?

- How does this impact the average number of matches needed before someone gets a win?

Thanks in advance!

  • I’m winning more now than ever. Admittedly, I used to be terrible. I turned a page in August, and another one about 3-4 weeks ago.

Turns out that roughly coincides with SBMM.

I had  a stretch with Crypto where I was wining every ten games. Honestly, I was getting lucky with randoms who were better than me. I played solid support and didn’t hurt the team. Kinda easy with Crypto.

Anyway,1/20 sounds right to me. I even carry my team from time tot time.

@Gabrielmojo26That’s a great average for randoms. I’m about on par with that and mostly play with randoms. My top 5 placement is much much higher then my win ratio. Wait no I’m no place close, my math was wrong. If you’re winning 5% of games with randoms I want to play rounds with you. 😂

  • @mxmvd I don't think it's possible to put a number on it anymore tbh, specially for solo queue, just play to improve your own skill and ignore bad teammates if you have to, but if there's even one decent player with you then stick to them like glue and support them any way possible and they just might get you a win or atleast a game that doesn't end in under two minutes.

I only have 71 career wins and have played ~3000 games (2.4%). I think that means I probably really suck at this game. I have a laugh playing it though so don't really care.

@MandatoryIDtag It doesn't, i been more than 350 matches without a win, solo droppers, toxic people shouting, teammates with less than 50 damage, people that rush when 3 squads are left, i been getting 7 kills per match and still haven't won a match, welp now u probably feel better lmao
  • @o0Zeke0o  Season 4 is a different game entirely bud,  i posted that months ago. My games usually equate to dropping and getting melted by an L star point blank before i can find a bodyshield, usually by a pathfinder i never heard coming because the audio is possibly the worst i've come across on any BR

I'd like to say i'm enjoying the game lately but that would be a lie.

@MandatoryIDtag After playing some warzone, I must say footsteps in apex now feel like thunderclaps XD. I've been having problems before that though, so I dunno if just the contrast with something much worse helped or they actually changed something in apex within last 2 months. I don't think I've missed anyone running around me recently, unless it was a sneaking Revenant.
