What is the obsession with waterfall?

Seriously, maybe 2 decent items up there at best, one of which is likely a gold knock down shield. The rest of the squad is left with nothing and you die 99.99% of the time either right then and there or leaving there. Why do people insist on dropping there? You want a gold gun? Give me a break, they are not that great to begin with. The only ones really worth it at the Devo and Havoc. If it's PUBS not a huge deal if you want to try and drop there. But in ranked?

It's even worse than dropping to trials on WE. It's not worth it. Drop hammond labs or energy depot then go kill who's ever left over from the waterfall.. They likely won't have health, ammo or both.

@OldTreeCreeper I like the Gold Wingman a lot.. Fortunately it's not a popular gold gun so it's some what easy to find. If someone does pick it up it's usually in their death box at some point. Some caustic on my team saw me popping off with that and a mastiff. He gave it a go, had some mild success with it, just had to tell him to slow down when using it. 1400+ damage 7 kills and 4 revives...

Best part about the wingman you can get by with just 1 stack of ammo for it. So you can carry extra consumables or throwable. 2 extra nades comes in rather handy.

@DarthValtrex I'm useless with a wingman, gold or otherwise. I kinda go more for hip fire with my spitfire/devotion/lstar or volt, and that just dosnt work with the wingman for me.

@DarthValtrex I find the Wingmans more of a finisher weapon. I just can't pop off consistent shots with it. Much better to fire a full R99/ R301/ Volt clip into them to pull out a Wingman and one shot them. Or two (/three?) shot them once they're down.

It's a terrible panic weapon gun. The need for little ammo as you said is a major positive tho.

@GH0STEDbyME Oh yeah, it's very unforgiving. You miss one shot and you're typically dead. But if you land shots with it, especially head shots it's OP. I think the only time it frustrates me is when I hit two consecutive head shots for 98 each and you have to land that third shot. Depending on how close combat it is, a 99 can drop you before you get that third shot off.
