What's the difference between AR's and SMG's in this game?
I said "in this game" because I did a quick search of 'What's the difference between Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns', and find that it doesn't seem to apply in Apex Legends. (AR = thicc bullets, ...
AR's generally have a higher damage output per shot, and better accuracy over range....as you would expect from an AR class.
SMG's generally have lower damage per shot higher DPS output and less accuracy over range.
Although all of this basically goes out the window if you master the weapons in terms of range accuracy.
