Where do you aim?

When you have a non sniper/marksman where do you aim? chest, neck, head? also do you change it up depending on which gun you're using or your attachments? tell me your secrets to finishing that kill.

If I'm not using a tripletake or a longbow then I'm consistently aiming at the areas immediately to the left and right of the target. And miraculously miss even as I'm moving from one of those zones to the other. Which seems impossible, but there you have it.
