So I’ve seen several threads lately regarding people’s motivation to quit or take a break from this game due to the demotivation of playing it for various reasons. Many resonate with the same feelings I’ve been having since frankly the beginning of this season. But now I’m at a point that I don’t even wanna do dailies because they seem like a drag, whereas at first I could do dailies and weeklies no problem. So after completing the BP, of which I’m now at 90, I’m gonna at least take a break from this game, by which I mean only play it on rare occasions (like fun LTMs) or not at all, and see if I’ll play it in the future if problems are fixed (which’ll likely never happen cause the biggest problem isn’t servers or anything like that... it’s the component of the game that puts you with clueless human beings playing the game seemingly half drunk and with their feet). So just to not get multiple threads regarding this matter I made this thread so ppl can post their reasons for quitting or leaving. Smart eh? Keeping the forums tidy means keeping... (okay I got nothing XD). I know at least @Wingmannedbro will go soon

@ColdHours You too huh :0 yea after that stint I did with ranked couple weeks ago I can’t be bothered playing it. It’s either ppl that think they’re Wanted (movie) level good but suck or just the suckers who know they suck but still don’t communicate.@Pretzelnutcake, I share the same opinion, let’s just hope for the best.@AWOL_312 don’t remind me of doom! Can’t wait for my collector edition to come in! Too bad this doom won’t have a traditional MP, but I will see how the Battle mode fares. But other than that I have alot of other games to play.@SpyrosFPS wait, you haven’t played D3?! That game is amazing. I actually played the last one (So Darksiders 3) first which got me hooked so I started playing Darksiders 1 Warmastered Edition, lore was fun but you could feel the clunkiness of the controls due to it being such a dated game. I was actually playing Darksiders 2 when Apex launched and I still need to finish it 😅 but out of the 3 so far, D3 is my favorite. Good combo of lore and fighting

@Koochi-Q I am definitely taking a break for a while. One is currently at level 94 of the BP. Would have had it finished by now but rarely go on anymore.I don't play ranked much stopped at Gold 1. And went to standard pubs for less stress. But the people leaving or doing their own thing kills it. And get absolutely annoyed with people spamming the ping button.

I just finished the season BP. I tried the Platinum rank push (PC player) for 6 hours yesterday with the idea that Diamond is something to strive for. My conclusion is it's not worth the effort due to cheaters. At the beginning of the season, we got about one week of "real" Apex play after the ban wave or software change that required them to update the hacks. Now it's a hot mess of "soft" cheaters. They have gotten very good at attempting to hide the cheats. I have watched some die on purpose in an attempt to hide their activity. The biggest cheater indicator use to be how they moved during fights. Players that have mastered their aim also have mastered movement in Apex. A PK is used differently than an EVA8 when considering movement in the fight. Cheaters had one move, run straight in, they don't slide much, climb much, bob up and down, use cover, or strafe. They simply rely on the aimbot to perform the magic for them. As I said, the cheaters are catching on and now incorporate movement so it's becoming harder to notice. The obvious observation is when my whole team gets dropped by one guy crazy quickly, at a speed that requires mostly headshots, then when he thinks he's being watched his combat time goes WAY up and he struggles to down one guy let alone a team. Let's not even talk about ESP hacks, those are even worse and I have watched cheaters track right through the wall until the guy shows up around the corner, perfect timing. I play at high volume and you can't track that good...direction yes, track exact movement through walls...no. The most obvious one yesterday was when my teammate was hiding. Nobody around when he took his position and no way to see him take the position from afar. A fight took place near him and he listened but did not look. After the fight was over the winning squad ran over to his position, flanked the rocks/hill he was behind together and killed him. Impossible to know he was there. Ridiculous. That's my answer to the questions. BP over so I'm taking a break to allow time for the cheaters to get cleared out again. I will check in once every few weeks and see if there is any progress but if it's the same as before then I simply won't play. Respawn missed a big one by underestimating the number of cheaters and how it will affect all the regular players. It ruins the game and makes it no fun to play. Why are they not saying anything about it anymore? I believe it's because they don't have any good news, they are aware it's out of control. Even the streamers I watch are running across cheaters daily. Apex is by far my favorite shooter, it's sad that I can't play it on a level playing field.

I am taking break, since I have ranked up to Diamond, and jesus, if I knew that this is gating pit for cheaters, I would never rank there up. The game is UNPLAYABLE on Diamond rank, so I've decided to go for another games (probably Minecraft of PoE/CS:GO) as I am totally bored of getting nuked in 1 sec via R99 headshots. Respawn, FIX THIS ANTICHEAT or go for better one, Jesus Christ.

I'm at BP lvl 104 now, currently contemplating if I should go for a quick tryhard climb to Diamond in ranked or not.
Maybe. Or maybe not. But when the loose ends are tied, i'm gonna hop over to Fortnite for solo's, despite being a far inferior game to Apex, it has solo's. So...
Besides I got Fortnite's BP to grind out also 🥳

@Koochi-Q Don't have the BP but the few days it took me to get the few freebies was enough motivation to not play till the next event or whatever lol, really hope they address the matchmaker soon or I'm sure most won't come back from their breaks and just move on

Here i am.
Lv 86 so i guess about 10-14 days before taking my break.
I am quitting multiplayer in general and will be focused on Death Stranding; soon will come out also Doom. Next year seems like i will be not much around Apex... unless i see major changes!
PS: a bit of fresh air would be a TDM, that would definitely take me back!

I'll be taking a break, I'm already done with the BP so I don't have to worry about finishing it.
I have a couple other games I would like to play before the next Event happens in Dec [If there is a Dec event :/]. I will still be playing Apex atleast every other day or a couple times a week. From not letting rust from forming.
I will be back playing every day when I beat those games or when Season 4 drops, and I have a new Bp to work on.
I still will be playing Apex Legends Forum BR though, to keep me up to date on current event's and patches.

@Koochi-Q when there will be no solo/duo mode, yes, than i am gonna take a break. got no motivation left to play in 3man squads with randoms. if solo mode comes, i will still buy next pass and keep playing apex

Made level 110 about a week ago. I still play but I’m sharing a lot of time with other games. I’m trying to push to Diamond, but it’s hard with randoms.

At bp 74 i think, and at Platinum 4, will keep playing games daily as one good game, or a good teamwork game, is really worth the wait.
Had another game with 2 predators yesterday, and it was something to behold. i was breathless and overawed, and despite their best efforts to keep me alive I managed to die nonetheless, but I loved watching their play and then their (our) win.
Today was a little different, despite 3 wins. One game today spoiled it a bit. Jumpmaster was passed to me by both players with low stats. I pinged a location and jumped, they had gone solo jump in the nanosecond before I jumped and proceeded to ping enemy all over the place, really confusing me, and went to the other end of the map. I collected a bit of loot and went on a journey across the map, intent on letting them know my displeasure. I got to within 200m of them and they were killed and then one of them pinged me. Bar humbug.... Bit of satisfaction outliving them, and I then had a lovely kill with a fitted out devotion that was very satisfying before meeting my end.
I like Fortnite too and am over level 150 and in champion league now. It makes for a refreshing wind down after the intense bloodlust i get while playing Apex. 😃
