Why am I getting an abandon penalty when my teammate is afk?
Queued ranked, two of us died third is afk so I leave why do I get penalized for this?

- @storms0n Apex is not very intuitive as far as what counts as AFK. Unfortunately people can AFK without much repercussion.
For you to leave with no penalty the player would need to be completely disconnected from the match, not just standing there doing nothing. The game should show a message warning you that if you leave under the wrong circumstances you will be penalized.
On your end all you can do is report people via the in-game feature or your respective platform’s method. - @storms0n You can leave once your icon greys out.
@Cheese9Man I havnt checked this recently, but dosnt the game dc you if you are inactive (afk) for a period of time? I can't remember the length of time.
- @OldTreeCreeper Yes it does that's why when I'm ratting in rank, I make sure I move the camera from time to time. I don't have number when it kicks you out though. Your icon greying out is shorter than the time AFK is kicked out though.
BTW you playing KC ranked? @Cheese9Man yes kc ranked, but lost a shed load of points tonight.
I thought that moving the camera didn't count, that actual movement, even ever so slight, would reset the timer. This sounds like a test dummy needs to be done, but we'll have to wait until the start of next season 😃
