Why are the servers bad?

I’ve been playing ranked a lot and have been banned 5 times already, why is this happening? I keep getting kicked from the awful server then get banned because apparently I left when I didn’t even leave it kicks me out of the game

  • There is a crash bug, in general just try restart the game and you should rejoin again.

When playing with my team were on discord so its easier to handle, I just haul when I crash and they land safe and wait for my reconnect. But if your team hotdrops and dies of the drop you wont be able to get back in and get penalty.

I sincerely hope they fix this soon as we have one team member crashing almost every game now, its quite game breaking atm, same lost 2 wins in ranked already to one member crashing in the middle of the fight. Lets just hope they fix this soon 🙂

  • Network/Server issues have been happening since Day 1!

    Welcome to Apex!

Constant lag, high pings, disconnects, network crashes, get use to it.

Sure would be nice to dig some money out of their pockets and put up a better Network, doesn't look like it's ever going to happen. ☹️

  • @Ashley21996 They are bad because of the costs involved. People say "Apex didn't plan to be this successful, so they never thought of going with high quality servers from the start". Oh but they did know. And also, how can you not go with high quality / tick rate servers for a competitive game in this day and age?

People don't know that they purposely didn't advertise the launch, but instead paid all the top streamers on launch to stream the game in the 1st week. Ninja alone was offered $1mil to stream it. That is brilliant marketing and this strategy was one of the reasons this game blew up in the way it did. It was planned, and all consequences were known from day 1.

And if a company and CEO is this stupid, to not realize/know/understand or plan for future projections, they shouldn't be running the company.

As if the excuses are, we only built what we did, because we never realized we would need a bigger, better, faster network... LOL

    PLEASE...

P.S. The Network/Servers are still really bad, been bad since Day 1. ☹️

  • @xpl0itsI agree with you. But you need to remember Apex is a business like any other - and by that measure what they are doing now is absolutely working to generate the most profit and the least expense. You view this from a consumer perspective (so do I) and they view it from a business perspective. Upgrading anything involves costs, so it's counter productive to do so as long as their profits and sales are going up. There will eventually be a tipping point, but by that time it may already be too late and would make more sense financially to just dumpster the game. They win either way.

The biggest factor here that might bring about a change, if it's not too late already, is the community itself. People can choose not to spend money or play until things are fixed, but they don't. So in some sense we are to blame as we are enforcing this practice to continue.
