Why can’t I disable cross platform? What’s with heirlooms getting benefits?

So playing last night (getting rolled as usual) and confirmed PC and console players are paired together in lobbies. Went to disable cross platform and game won’t let me? The f00k is this about? Apex...

@BigMacAttack8u Unfortunately we confirmed last night that’s not true - confirmed on a couple occasions that teammates were on PC or liars I guess - where would I get to account settings?

@ringin10Big Mac is correct. Consoles are seperate from PC unless the console player joins a PC person. Then the console person is in PC lobbies and not console lobbies.

Curious, who told you they were PC? A random? What made you bring up the subject?

If a person is on PC in console lobbies they are using some form of cheat or exploit to get there. Report them. In 15000 matched I've never seen this.

What I have seen are mnk console folks. This too is cheating and I report them every time.

@hayhor It was a random - I was partied up with another Xbox user - random had 4K and 20 badge so they jumped over to ask

  @ringin10 So you saw badges that lots of console people have and asked if they were PC? And they said yes? They were likely making fun of your friend for asking.

  @ringin10 I myself is using the Gibby heirloom. My heirloom gives away my position when hiding in the dark since it glows like a freakin airport. Pathy and Valk’s heirlooms seem to cover your screen a lot too. Some pros remove their heirlooms when playing in the ALGS because it distracts them especially the loud sounds the Gibby heirloom does.

@hayhor How do you use a mnk on console???
I play on console and never heard of such a thing.
Also how do you tell them apart?

    @BigMacAttack8u This is actually not true either, MnK on keyboard is becoming increasingly popular with XIM and Chronus - it sends keyboard mouse inputs through an adapter to the console, the console believes it’s a controller input so you get mouse accuracy with controller aim assist

  @XxColdFangxXAs bigmac said, there are ways which will likely result in a ban so don't do it. It is very obvious when a player is on mnk. Many use mechanical keyboards that their mics pick up the sound. Also if you spectate someone strafing on a box, it's usually an mnk user. Note that you can move on a box with a controller for a quick swap so the people you see jumping initially are not doing this.
