Why did they ever remove punch boosting?
Now that it's getting more common for people to use neo strafe, super glides and such AND respawn not removing them. Plus scripts to easier pull off these abilities.
It's leads me to wonder why get rid of punch boosting? Everyone equally had access to it, much like wall jumps. Created the same way wall jumps are created, through a messed up in the physics engine. To pull it off you never needed any script of any sort just timing, again like wall jumping.
It even had a downsides, being it was difficult to stop said momentum and had to look back at the slope. Meaning it was difficult to see where u where going and have trouble stopping it, u could easily go flying into a 3 man and get beamed. https://9apps.ooo/
It just seems so random considering current movement tech. Hell even the movement tech at the time. Back then if I'm not mistaken tap strafe existed, same with super glides they where simply not used as often or known. What leads to them removing/keeping certain movement tech, as to me it seems completely random?
