Why does leaving early NOT count as a death in the K/D ratio !?

Can anyone explain why the kill/death ratio is unaffected by leaving a game early ? To me, it would feel like voluntarily leaving when you can be revived or respawned = death. Those who cherish thei...

@i0nviz If you're damaged by an enemy and leave it still counts as a death. If you leave for a multitude of reasons, especially ones that you can't control it definitely shouldn't count as a death.

@DankToliet Nope, if you leave before being boxed, it doesn't count as a death. I just tested it again this afternoon for 3 matches in a row. Kills count went up with the kills I did and death count didn't increase.

@i0nviz is correct. We were misled somewhat by the patch notes last season. The player who damaged you before you left game will get the kill on their stats, but you do not take the death on yours.

  @pandareno1999 I did not know this and think its B.S that this hasn't been changed in 13 seasons
