Forum Discussion
I hope I can end this debate.
this video is taken 10 minutes ago with aim assist set to on (default) , the cross hair is doing ZERO movement when I don't touch the sticks .
when I do the ONLY thing is doing is just slowing down the drag by tiny bit which I noticed it actually doing harm more than benefiting my aim while tracking fast moving target which just now I figured out why I'm suffering to do it and I tried every single controller setting to fix but I couldn't but now I know the reason of the problem.
if the posted video earlier is true then my aim assist is broken and I want to complain.
- hayhor2 years agoHero@maximas1986 That's the bug where AA doesn't work that's been reported since the start of the season.
Aim assist does(or is supposed to) provide rotational assistance. Here is actual in game footage I show of it from 11 months ago. I'm not touching my controller when the lifeline is moving.

@hayhori don't remember since when I have seen it doing that 🤣
edit: so if the aim assist is broken to a point that it's literally not working BUT people are still complaining then sorry to say this is sure a skill issue.
the broken status of aim assist today (as you mentioned) shows that even if the AA is completely removed (with the current status it's considered non existent) some people will always find an excuse for why they got out played.

@maximas1986🤣 It's always done that until this season. It's why going to shoot at enemies this season is harder in general. Sometimes the slow is there and sometimes it isn't. And this changes in game from what I can tell.
Like me you probably don't notice the rotation in game cause you are trying to track enemies or control recoil all the time. The other place you see it is in the drop ship when your cursor randomly locks and pulls to people dropping. And yeah people will complain about dying without taking responsibility. Many times this season they probably got killed by a roller player who's AA was not even working.

@maximas1986As I said before "The Aim Assist is completely disabled when you do not move your character or camera (crosshair)" The Analog Stick Drift makes your camera always move and makes the AA always active
Your controller is like new on the Sticks
Anyway you will not have problems in the gameplay since Apex is a game of constant movement
- 2 years ago@sebashooter i was literally moving the stick left and right tracking the dummy and the only thing it was doing is slowing down the aim but not by much.
if my aim assist was like that then it will be a completely different game for me.
now the real question is , how come a certain aspect of the game will be broken for some but not for others????????
